xenxander
1st person all the way. 3rd person is too buggy, and it’s not true 3rd person. You can’t rotate the camera around yourself as you can in all other games that do 3rd person. I don’t want to be looking at the buttocks of my character all the time – I’d really like the ability to run towards the camera or at least left or right from time to time, as you can in console games that use dual analogs. Oh and I’m a PC gamer mostly, I just used that for reference purposes.
StealthFox
Both have their moments, but I will play 99% of the time in First person. The problem I have with Third Person is it's hard to tell exactly where you're pointing. It can be difficult to harvest ingredients, or pick up fallen weapons. Also archery is almost impossible. Guest
I prefer to play in first person mode so I can see the cross hairs and so that I can get immersed in the game a bit better.
thekid345
Third person definentley when i am traveling or in a ruin/cave. I hate when somehting sneaks up on me. Once i go into combat or sneak i go to 1st person.

Last I checked, the camera could be moved to any position and be held there while walking, running or swimming.

I've just recently heard it's by holding "R" down while moving but I've yet to try.... ???edit: I tried and it didn't work for me.... so how the hell do you position the camera to face anything but the ass of your character? Storm Raven
Something Usefull I keyed the mouse buton to switch form 1st to3rd. Press again to switch back. In the mouse manager (depending on the mouse) you can tell it what action to take when you press various buttons. So for one button its "r" and another its "c" because I don't have time to check the keyboard and at same time cast. FWIW For whatever its worth lol.
xenxander
I'd like to be able to lock the camera N by NE and then just run around in 3rd person, like it was in games such as Boulder's Gate. Only when walking around, not when in combat or when trying to sneak etc (1st person always for that)
GenghisKhanIT
1st person, only and always. In 3rd, character's animation is really ugly, I can't aim, and even harvesting is nearly impossible. The game is definitely made to be played as an FPS.
Marsumax
I absolutely play in 1st person :DBut, sometimes, when I walk...on the streets... in the sunlight...I switch to 3rd person, just to see my BEAUTIFUL character :P
