  1. rickred12, Here is a place to start on finding the correct drivers for your video card: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6450/Pages/amd-radeon-hd-6450-overview.aspx#4 Looking into it. I did not even see a driver for Windows 8, or if there is one, it is more of a beta version…??? You said that you are running the 6450, but the AMD cards are now way up into the 6600's. Running a video driver, especially if it is the latest one, you are probably going to get directed to something more suited to a 6600 version of the card. So my advice is to go to this page, and see what you can find out about the last video driver designed for this card. It would also help to know what the last change you made was before your FPS rate drops so low? I hope this helps, Storm Raven
  2. rickred12, Well, at least you given us a place to start, but we are probably going to need a lot more details about your rig. Personally, I have run into some serious problems, running the latest version of the driver software, because it was not designed to run my video card. It takes some burrowing down, but go back to your video card, and find out about the required driver software for your video card. Sometimes you have to go to the next version, or even a later version of the video card drivers to find out where your card drops off. I am here and I will be monitoring this topic, so even if I do not get the answer right right away, I will be here to help you dig into it! Sorry you are going to through this, Storm Raven
  3. I did not mean to double post, and it seems to me there used to be a way to just delete your post. So please forgive me, in all sincerity! If there is a way to just delete your post. Would someone please tell me! Thank you, Storm Raven
  4. Vagrant0. This sounds very familiar! And… Did we not have a lot of this in the new now old oblivion days? Certainly I remember it with Morrowind. What was happening then, especially with Morrowind, was that the game was eating up monstrous portions of CPU time. In order to compensate, the computer would start dropping lower-level tasks. When the sound started to go, I just saved my game rebooted the computer and started up where I left off. Oblivion was not quite as processor intensive as Morrowind, but if I was in game for a long period of time, once again, the sound would begin to fade. It became a sort of ghost in the machine reminder, that anything over two hours in game, the sound would begin to fade again. Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that in Skyrim, Bethesda is still using the same game engine, even if it is updated that caused these problems before! I agree with my old friend Dark Warrior, especially in his first paragraph. Perhaps the hardware has changed, or even the game engine, and those old problems are not coming back to haunt us. Still, you could look into dropping a few mods and/or other things to see if reducing the load on Skyrim makes a difference. I really could be lost at sea here, and you would most certainly be my honored guest in correcting me. Storm Raven
  5. Hickory, I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with you, the official DLC's do need to be cleaned. However I'm going to ask Ben (bben46), to look at this because he knows more about this stuff than anyone else I know. No Doubt, he will have a better explanation than I will… Thanks, Storm Raven 8)
  6. zelazko, This may not apply to your situation directly, it sounds as though it is a load order issue, especially if you have the Unofficial Oblivion Patch installed. However I found much to my dismay that when my old Pentium was really pushing its limits the sound card, a Creative Sound Blasterwould occasionally drop out. That meant it was time for me to save the game and reboot! I would then continue wherever I left off in the games. My understanding at the time was that memory and processing power were priorities over sound and I was playing Morrowind which was very processor intensive. There were times that I had to remove the number of mods running. If there are other people who can explain this situation in more detail I would appreciate it. It happened all the time in Morrowind, where I would get lost for hours… LOL Storm Raven 8)
  7. Of course, a lot of the people on my friends list are new members who I have responded to directly in their introduction posts…

Oh well, I guess another senior moment… The old man rolls on the floor laughing!

  8. The people on my list of friends are people I have known for years, people I have known for many years, please send me a PM first, that way I will know who you are. I had a situation on another forum where someone who is not my friend decided to take advantage of my openness. I don't want anything like that happen here!. The old man laughs.
  9. Hello old friend!
  10. Thank you Dark0ne, for your innovation, and looking towards the future perspective on things. Storm Raven 8)
  11. Anatidaephobia, I do believe that was a wonderful introduction! Truly wonderful, thank you, If there is anyway I can assist you please feel free to contact me. Storm Raven 8)
  12. Very well done, someone it seems sent back in time to witness and participate in an historical event. Thank you for a fascinating story, I will look forward to seeing it continue. The old man tips his hat, Storm Raven 8)
  13. Congratulations to them both, The Nexus has long needed more help in the moderation department. Thanks, Storm Raven
  14. Dark0ne, Thank you very much for making these changes. I will be sure to bring them to Exnems attention. I have no doubt that he will be glad to hear of these changes. It has been a perennial problem that because his oblivion body does not use the standard open license, the difference between the two licenses is not often noted. His original license needs to be included in all mods derivative of his body. Thank you, Storm Raven Chief Administrator of Exnem's Body Works
  15. Thank you Dark0ne, this will no doubt make many large mod makers happy. Thanks, Storm Raven
  16. Did you get this one solved? If so how? Thanks, Storm Raven 8)
  17. Hail All! This is just a simple reminder, to get your plots registered now. We have something like six different websites, where the WIP for this mod is running, so plots are moving briskly. We are working on a way now, to create a list of those plots that have already been requested, and to update that list on the various WIP topics. We would hate to run into a situation where someone wanted a plot that had already been taken. So help us avoid this unhappy situation, and register your grave and epitaph as soon as possible. Thank you all again for your warm welcome, The grave site registration unit. Storm Raven 8)
  18. Pushkatu, Thank you, as you have given us several choices we will locate the best plot available to you in one of those areas. You may consider your epitaph registered. Pronam, good friend, thank you for offering to help Pushkatu out, we will definitely take you up on your assistance. The graves registration unit will contact you at The Storm Raven Library. Buddah will be most pleased with your offer. Thank you, Storm Raven 8)
  19. GOOGLEPOX, Your request will be registered with the grave registration unit. I don't know if that spot is taken or not, should that be the case, we will make every effort to meet your next request. Buddah will probably be by this evening, to give you a final answer. But your request will be posted and time stamped back to your original post. These plots are going on a first-come first-served basis as you know. We will need the epitaph, the sooner the better, but don't break your neck over it my friend. At least not until we have registered your spot... Thank you, Storm Raven
  20. The Black Ninja, At the moment, we are requesting that individuals only reserve one plot, so that as many people in the community as possible can have a place in Cyrodill. Shivering Isle, only has one graveyard, and I believe that all of those already have activators. So we can't use those, though we are in the planning process of creating some beautiful graveyards on the Shivering Isles. There are a number of people who want to spend eternity there. I will go ahead and register you a spot for one of those, and when they are built, we will be sure to give you one. The grave registration unit will need an epitaph, as soon as possible. Thank you, Storm Raven 8)
  21. :thanks: Master Hammonds, You have broken my heart in disappointment... not really but it did sound good... I also can see the inherent dangers with a variable size option in the descriptions. It would be nice, to have a standard size, the header size, and one in between. They would have to be used responsibly of course, a good reason not to have them. Thank you for your assistance. Always your friend, Storm Raven 8)
  22. Master Hammonds, With the greatest of respect, I would like to point out to your most marvelous presence, that in the post above I mentioned I had already read skinnynerd's article. There is no reference to font sizes that I can see. It is possible that somewhere in the example code that which I am seeking for exists. Unfortunately I have been unable to find it. I will set off with high hopes and dreams of finding my answer in your recently updated article. Help from such as the like of you is most gratefully appreciated. Ben and I have been banging our heads for hours over this issue. :wallbash: Your grateful friend, Storm Raven (In the meantime, if there are others who have run into this problem, please identify yourselves. I will find a place to put your names in the sacred list of the "Seekers of Truth".) 8) :thanks:
  23. I'm in the process of finishing my description for a file I have uploaded to TES Nexus. I note that you can use "header" to create header lines, but I don't see a way to change the size of individual lines in the description. I'm using headers, but they are too big for all my needs. What I really need are the headers, the regular font size, and one font size just a little larger than standard, in order to differentiate major headings, from minor ones. I have read and reread skinnynerds, topic on the subject, but he does not address this issue. I have read and reread L. Hammonds topic on uploading, again I can find no directions. I tried using "size =" inside brackets to no avail. If someone could assist me I would be most grateful. Storm Raven :thanks:
  24. :thanks: zprospero, No doubt, he probably did... Anyone else? Storm Raven
  25. zprospero, Absolutely, Consider it done. Now where is that Metallicow when I need him. *the old man smiles* Storm Raven 8)
