How do we modify the standard poses of the character? Do we need a specific mod? Or is this something I missed?

You need the mod Actors in Charge. I'm sorry I don't have a link, but the search function should find it quite easily.

Also if you have the expansion pack, you can get Actors in Madness aswell.

Not necessarily if you feel like doing a bit of modding. I just added entries to the special idle lists which makes all females have a chance of having one of the seductive poses. Unlike actors in charge, I don't have to do anything for the poses to be used in game. Makes it more natural, and isn't that hard to do once you know how.
