Hey there just got Steam and just got my first copy of Skyrim! Please if you have any suggestions for where I should start I would love to hear it and any advice!

i also recommend picking out a body mod as well if you arent into the whole nude thing there are non-nude versions (CBBE comes with one and i think UNP has an alternate file) these help make characters look better in general.

qwertyzeldar has some very good suggestions there. I'd add to make sure that you get SKSE - even without SKSE plugins the newest version has some memory patches that can improve performance and stability, but lots of stuff use SKSE these days. I'd also personally add Capes'n'Cloaks (I think that's what its called) - its a small mod but it adds (imho) a lot of ambiance to the game with various characters wearing (as the name implies) capes and/or cloaks.
