beardofsocrates
Bit of an odd question that will probably end up with me face palming myself. In the Geck how can you change the body tone? I've been playing with the texture sliders for over an hour haven't seen tint of color change. :S All I want to do is reduce the saturation a little. Thanks! madmongo
There's a bug with NPCs created or modified in esp files. They will always show the default body color, no matter what face and skin color (and race) you have chosen. An African-American NPC with an all white body ends up looking really weird. Even in clothing that covers their body, their hands will still show up white. NPCs created in esm files don't have this problem. You can use the GECK powerup to edit esm files, or you can use TesSnip that comes with FOMM to convert your esp to an esm. Be aware that esm files have other problems of their own. You can generally add things with an esm with no problem, but if you modify something from the game or from another esm, you may find that the game ignores the edit. This means that you often require two files for your mod, an esm that contains your NPCs and an esp that makes modifications to existing objects. There are two places to change the skin texture in the GECK. One is the complexion slider under the Face tab for the NPC. For the other, click on the Face Advanced tab, then click on Texture under Control Type. Scroll down, and you'll see a few different options for skin shade and tint. The GECK doesn't always do a good job of updating the body texture in its displays, so sometimes there's a bit of trial and error, changing the skin tones in the GECK, then seeing how they look in game, then going back to the GECK to make further adjustments, etc. Edited December 31, 2015 by madmongo
