OOO Makes Oblivion Unfair?

So I've downloaded OOO a month or so back and after doing some quests I've had this really burning question. Why is it so hard? I know all the tweaks but what's the point of making anything above a mud crab impossible? I've done the quest with the Vampires in the IMperial City and it took me forever. I had to run and use trick methods. Is there a way in which I can tweak OOO through the options to not make it an impossible mod?

I have OOO installed. The major point of OOO is to give you a sense of progression and to make the game more challenging. In Vanilla, you can do any quest at any time. In OOO, you have to start off with the easier quests and dungeons, and as you gain in levels you are able to do the harder quests and areas. You also need a better character build in OOO, i.e. more specialized. To start off, you can do the beginning quests from the different guilds. Also, if there are strong creatures outside of a dungeon, there will be strong creatures inside of it, so you can sort of tell which areas are going to be way too hard for your current level.

It seems like Fransesco's can also give you a sense of progression but it does so by making weaker creatures appear later, as opposed to having stronger creatures appear sooner and also having weaker creatures continue later. You might want to take a look at Fransesco's as an alternative to OOO, if OOO is giving you trouble.

You might try a companion mod like Ruined Tail's Tail or Toaster Says Share if you want to stick with OOO.

OOO doesn't make Ob unfair, it makes it brutaly, brutaly, fair.

As for tweaking it, the only thing you can really do is whack the dificulty slider all the way to the left.

OOO changes the strategy required. You need to level up quickly in OOO whereas in Oblivion this was not such a good idea. There you needed to level slowly and more carefully so your skills matched the increasingly difficult monsters. In OOO you can avoid those monsters until you are ready for them.

If you have SI at the moment you should do SI early on as it becomes a chore at high levels.
