DarthWookie
Not sure how I am meant to go about these things, but I was wondering if anyone could possibly make a mod including all of the fallout music? Here is a playlist of majority of the fallout music from number three, new vegas and fallout 4. Let me know if there is anyway i can help.https://play.spotify.com/user/ladyaderissa/playlist/66RpYEnh6WJmyz0lscW2p3
JimboUK
Most of the music will be copyrighted and thus can't be distributed in a mod.
SiNNeR
indeed, while the developers will have obtained the permissions for the music in the appropriate games, that doesn't extend to them being modded into other games
SirTwist
I want to state I am not a legal professional, but I do know a bit about things. I would say, DarthWookie, to look into your mod idea by doing a few things. First, get the name of the song, the album, and artist, or band. Then track down the rights to the song. Not copyright, but permission to use the songs. Cross reference Bethesda with the songs, as well. Once you are able to determine the rights to the songs, then you will either be able to make, and distribute the mod, or make it, and keep it for yourself. And yes, he can do that, make a mod, and use it only for himself with the previous games' songs. I would wait until Monday, though, before doing more than internet searching. However, once you do find out what you are looking for, you maybe able to let us all know. I do have a feeling that you might be able to make the mod only for yourself. Now, I'm going to say something else here. There was a mod for Fallout 3. I believe is was something like Pipboy player, or something like that. Anyway, basically it was jukebox you can put your music into the game. I don't recall what happened to the mod, or the mod author, but this maybe something you might want to look into. This is not a way to get around the legal aspects. However, if you can bring that, or even your own version of it, to Fallout 4, you can distribute that. However, if you put in music to use as an example, you will have to make sure it's public domain music. That is not hard to find. Just type in public domain music into your favorite search engine, and go. Public domain music can be shared in mods, across the radio waves, etc. It is public consumption. The problem with the player for Fallout 3 was that you needed to rename the files to get it to play in game. I suggest talking to the original person who made the mod. Jim_uk and Sinner, I apologize, but you maybe right in the essence of things. However, listening to the radio in Fallout 4, I did notice some songs that can from Fallout 3, and even, I think, New Vegas. I was waiting for Butcher Pete, I think the name of the song is, but I haven't heard it, yet. Or maybe I have, and just didn't really hear it.
