mwhenry16
I've never done a pacifist run in Fallout. Never felt the need, and frankly, I've never been given the mechanics to do so. But I am really concerned at how little diplomatic leeway you have in Fallout 4. There is no option to become an Action Survivor the plot REQUIRES you to become an Action Hero. I'm thinking specifically that you can't defuse, delay and sabotage the faction's murderfests with each other, such as convincing the Railroad to go underground while the Brotherhood or Institute are looking for them.Being required to kill Kellog is another matter where diplomacy would have been a great Paragon action. They copy Bioware's dialog system but not their Paragon/Renegade storytelling choices. And it's not an exaggeration: this guy had audio interface trouble from his not killing. As one of the commenters put it, if Todd Howard didn't design a non-lethal play through, he didn't design a Fallout game. It's another shame really. http://kotaku.com/guy-beats-fallout-4-without-killing-anyone-nearly-brea-1749882569Well, considering it came from Kotaku.....(grain of salt here). Regardless, I distinctly remember more than one "media" source, quoting "sources" at Bethesda, saying this type of play would be "viable". It's a shame. I thought about it before hand a time or two and couldn't think of a way to do it.
mwhenry16
Yeah, a true pacifist playthrough would be more appropriate for the female protagonist, given her background (no sexist; I'm simply going from what we know about her). A lawyer, rather than a trained combat veteran like her male counterpart, you would think she might have some alternative solutions to life in the wasteland which do not involve instantly morphing into Rambette. You just don't have enough RP game. Why would it be "sexist"? Leave it at "...given her background". When talking "true", PC is out the window. Just trying to prevent what can, at times, seem an inevitable response to any gender-related observation. =^[.]^=
