So, if you join either the Brotherhood or the Institute, you end up getting a similar quest from them: Raiding the Mass Fusion building for a beryllium agitator, for different reasons. Now, this is all well and good for most characters, but not all of them. Two of my Sole Survivors, one for the Brotherhood and one for the Institute, both had the Nuclear Physicist perk. They were geniuses when it came to anything involving nuclear reactors. This meant that, with enough nuclear material, they could conceivably build the thing that both factions need: The beryllium agitator, forgoing the entire raid on Mass Fusion. My main reason for wanting this mod is because, for the Institute at least, you have no visible credibility as a scientist: You get your position through pure nepotism and being so much more of a replacement of Kellogg, that I think the Institute might have an inkling of mortal terror every time you walk into view. Fix their power problems by yourself when no one else in the Institute could would go a long way to ensuring your credibility as their new Director, Leader, Grand Poobah and Supreme Dictator. With the Brotherhood, I would say you have the option of changing jobs from Knight to Scribe. But it wouldn't be that big of a deal. That, and it could be a segue into something of a peace agreement between each party, if such a mod were to come about.
