I don't know if you want to do something about it, but I found the 4K Moons modyou listed to be lackluster. There are two issues in particular have spolied things for me, first one is that the moon turns with the player, meaning that the southpole of the moon will always point towards the bottom of the screen. To reproduce, just look as far up as possible while still seeing the moon and then turn your character (move mouse left or right).

The second issue is that the moon becomes see-through in dark places, which makes the stars shine through the moon.

And just two typos in your OP:

Under Notice:

Second sentence: "important to keep" instead of "Important too keep".

And under Step 2: Important:

Last sentence: Again "to" instead of "too".

And some other places too. In general, memorize "too" as "aswell", for eveything else use "to".

That's no big deal ofcourse, but I thought that if you went through the hassle of stylizing your post like that, you are also interested in keeping it grammatically correct. ^^

Anyways, great list. I'm not going to install all of these mods, but it is a good guideline for handy mods.

Thanks for this, my Fallout looks stunning.

I don't quite get all the weed related mods, marijuana leaf on a bottle cap and such, so I opted for something else.

But I do appear to be having a problem.

I followed your guide, installed everything in the order etc but now it seems that if I travel a bit of distance (let's say from red rocket to Concord) I start getting low res textures.

If I quit the game and reload then I'm back to high res textures. Zoning doesn't seem to fix the problem.

How much Ram do you have in your computer. And if you have 8 GB or more did you set you VRam at 20000? Also how long have you been playing with my list? SOme people have been playing the same playthrough for months and haven't updated to the new list. What you are describing used to happen to me before I went and got my extra RAM. Also it seems to happen when you switch your mods out a lot.

I have 32GB RAM, and yeah, I set my VRam to 20000.

I literally did a fresh install yesterday and installed everything from your list.

It sounds like your graphics card or your hard drive or both can't load all the high-res textures in time and are switching to lower resolutions. If you have many 4k mods installed, you should consider switching to 2k or even lower resolution variants.

Funny story lol. My wife came by and told me to change my to's to too's and i went overboard, payed no attention to grammar at all, but now its going to be work to fix it all lol. Also the moon bug is a Fallout 4 bug not a mod bug. Thats just how it is until the Toolset. The original fallout 4 moon is smaller so you can't really tell.

I just went through this wonderfully written guide and installed everything, and now Fallout 4 runs beautifully. Thank you so much for putting the thought and effort into this - I can't begin to estimate how much research/trial/error time you have saved me. Very well done.

You are very welcome, I started out just wanting to be a part of the Nexus community and I am not yet a mod creator yet so this was a little idea I had. I did not expect to take it this far but all the positive feedback has really turned it into a hobby for me, I am putting together an actual team for a new project currently, that will turn fallout 4 into a gritty Tron style wasteland, glow maps on everything! Should be beautiful.

emm maybe I should post my list any one interested?

340+ mods with patches and merges, working with DLC

can see the short list on my twitch profile, (not an add, just where I have the list on the net atm)

https://www.twitch.tv/vaclav3/profile

They won't let you put it up unless you have a full tutorial to go with the installation. Thats the one thing that decides whether my forum gets removed or not. It's a lot of work. And the Load Times with that many mods would be insane, at least for me and my rig.
