TheGreatEater Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Question 1: I know F04 is different than Skyrim and NV when it comes to modding meshes, and I see quite a few Blender Weapons and stuff on the site. How would I go about turning a current Blender version .Blend file into Nif? Or has anyone started on an import / export add on to Blender yet? Question 2: What file would be a good download into learning how to add custom items into a work station? I know there are already item / ammo / robot crafting files out there, but I'm going to be working on a custom one, so any pointers on what'd be best to look at would be awesome. and lastly Question 3: How would one go about altering the perk tree pics / animations? And with modding tools out atm, could one add a drop down menu to choose an outcome of a variable choice perk? [The reason I'm asking, is (and this is in the conceptual stages], in it I want to accomplish several things. 1) Create all, weapons/armor in the game [as well as custom ones I make] [like Kevlar, Nanite Weave, MASE [Molecular Atomic Spatial Enhancer] Weave [Hammer Space suit]. 2) Craft Robot companions, and add Mods to them. and a Perk Overhaul including merging the current Robotic's Expert with Hacking and changing Robotic's Expert to Craft/Mod Robots and Cybornetics [Don't know texturally how I'd impliment it, but it's something I want to accomplish.]. 3) Merge / Add / Change several other perks [including Companion Perks that at least on console were utterly useless / unnoticeable to me]. and 4) Allow everyone to be killable / wilderness items to be scrapable. The drop down menu is because I'm changing Rooted into Mutant, and it'd be cool to give X-Men like powers. But allow the user to choose, rather than it being utterly RNG which would be better, but less cool imo. Also merging the 1st and 2nd perk in Strength to Martial Artist, final perk allowing ki attacks. It'd be cool to let a person choose if they melee attack ranged fire, ice, poision [Vibrating Palm], or telekinetic [ki] blast, or Spirit Wave [plasma]. I was originally planning on Mutant to change player into a Super Mutant, but then I found out that Lorewise, Super Mutants are only made by FEV, rather than Radiation like from Ghouls. ArekkusuStorm Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Well, personally I've been modeling my weapons in Blender, then bringing that into 3DS Max so I can export as a nif with the Nif Plugin (then running NifSkope to replace a vanilla weapon with my custom one) because I don't think there's a plugin for Blender yet. Especially since it's free, and 3DS Max is looking insanely expensive [i got Mudbox for 10 USD / Mo., and am not part of a school.
