Peregrine
Peregrine if someone paid you i would think they were an idiot. And I'd think you were an idiot for saying it. That's how things work in the real world, artists work on comission. If you want a specific piece of art, you pay the artist to do it. We're not a charity,we have plenty of other things already in our lives. If you expect me to give you a lot of hours of my time (and I don't think you understand just how much time and effort can be involved in these things), you'd better give me a good reason. Since you're not a friend, and your project has zero appeal to me, that means money. i didnt see the last posts made by yourself and Vagrant0. You didn't miss much. He said what you are asking for couldn't even be done, I disagreed, and we both flamed you. plus even though the are anime you can learn a thing or to from them. you can learn many things to help you make decisions in the future, they can give people morals. Only two types of people need a cartoon to give them moral lessons: children and idiots. The rest of us are perfectly capable of developing our morals and decision making abilities without them. If you want moral lessons, I would suggest reading some books on morality and philosophy... I could probably recommend a few. but check out the things that run through the creators minds they create things in the real word. Do you honestly fail to realize how silly this is? The bizarre physics of the anime world make any inspiration superficial at best. The science and engineering of pretty much every anime I've had the misfortune of watching is just laughably bad. think about flying cars doesn't that make people think 'the jetsons'there is a man who creates them that got the idea from that cartoon. Actually, flying cars make me think of the general 1950s "future" style, not The Jetsons. Here's a hint: real flying cars don't use magic antigravity to fly, and the idea (with working prototypes) has been around a lot longer than some random cartoon. But anyway, that's not even relevant. The Jetsons was not anime. The term "anime" refers to Japanese-style animation, not just any cartoon. isn't Oblivion like an animejust because its a game doesn't change it. from being computerised characters. No. Oblivion is nothing like anime. It may have its flaws, but that isn't one of them. But you know, arguing about anime is kind of silly. We can go on all day about whether the genre as a whole is a good one or not, but that's beside the point. The specific shows you are fanboying over are absolute **** with no redeeming value. Even the serious anime fans consider them laughably bad, and are kind of embarassed by their popularity. So I will repeat: no self-respecting artist is going to touch your little fanboy project until you get out the credit cards. And yes, I realize hell will probably be frozen over before you actually pay me. That's kind of the point... it's your concession that you aren't really serious about seeing this plugin made. You just want to post "omg this is kewl!!!!! lolololol!!!!" fanboyism, not put any actual effort (or money) into making something.
Vagrant0
Tell you what... Throw up a few screencaps, explain what it is I'm supposed to be looking at, and if I think the effects are doable within oblivion I'll throw something together. Peregrine may have standards about himself, me, I get bored alot, and could probably use another upload to list. The once the excitment of having it made wears off you'll prove the point I was making which wasn't a flame. Essentially the value of anything like this is fleeting, and I'm somewhat willing to prove it.
Kyubi Nick
Hey, look Peregrine, if you don't like it, then why are you posting here? All your doing is being a jerk. If you don't like anime, then get over it. We do. I don't see why you have to act all Supiror, because your no better than the others here to me. To others you may be, but thats something I don't care about. I can't script at all, other than NPC's that don't work, and I'd feel better about trying to do this myself. So please, just stop being a jerk, ok! And Vagrat0, thank you for actualy thinking of helping us! (In a sort of way.. if thats what you mean... I realy don't know... I'm taking it as a offer to help however) Anyway, some new ideas! Now, jutsu! Rasengan: Type: Touch/Destruction. Custom Spell usage model, where the user tkes up their hand and starts going around making the rasengan. Does 60-80 dmg on strike, 15ft on targes and behind, on LV 1. Gets tronger as its LV goes up. There are also LVs 2 and 3. Shadow Clone: Type: Conjeration: Creates a full actor copy on yourself and creates 1-5 clones (Depending on LV agin) with all items spells and equipment. Vanish in smoke when killed or dismissed. Spell studies how you play and used that to create the AI. And my newest Idea is the Curse seal. Not finished with its plot yet. Hope you like the ideas :D
CJD
Peregrine is mostly a wise man, but this time i disagree, let them like what they like, and if you dont like what they like and think its for idiots then thats ur opinion. I personally HATE anime, and think its the dumbest thing in the world, but im not going to flame them for liking it. There is no reason for you to go all out on these people for liking something, even if stupid. p.s Kyubi, when making a point about him not being superior, make sure you spell superior correctly. no offense, things like that will bolster the confidence of the attacker. Alright so back on topic here.. I do believe some pics of these weapons will be useful.
Vagrant0
I meant the weapons, any of the special moves type stuff just doesn't translate well, and I'm not going to waste my time on trying to get a specific look to the action. Not to mention spending the time dealing with, but never being able to solve, all the complications those effects cause. Which was the other part of my post. That first spell, no matter what, can't use custom shaders without screwing up everything, can't use custom animations without screwing up anything (even after you spend the week or two making it). Can't create custom meshes to appear only durring a single event like you want. Itt would just look like a simple damage on touch spell, the area effects not being possible (without SI?) the way you want. Even trying to get the progression in strength down would take a bit of effort. Spell studies how you play and used that to create the AI.Totally, and utterly impossible. Even scripting an NPC to not be a total idiot in combat takes significant effort, with the potential of idiocy increasing significantly per NPC. There aren't even any decent companion mods that manage this better than some "run in like an idiot" the moment anything is detected, and they're dealing with a very specific set of skills. Trying to do it on a player clone is insanly difficult since not only are the skills, atats, equipment, spells, and methods unknown, you can't use external scripts. Unlike every NPC with a reference, a player clone is a copy of the player, it has no AI, it has no combat style, and it cannot have a script attached to it in the standard way. While you can get around this somewhat by using scripted abilities, it isn't enough to really do anything more than maintain some basic AI. Simply put, not gonna happen as anything more than a basic "run in and die, can't do anything but follow you" NPC, and even then there are complications. Dean57
thanks vagrant0 i think? just try google for the look off these weapons it takes like 2 seconds. words like Kubikiri Houcho, zabuza's sword or Orochimaru's Sword check out the second post made by kyubi nick he put down a few weapons. thanks if your actually going to make the weapons peregrine why do you bother coming onto this forum? If you don't like anime or practically anything on this mod forum why don't you just stay off itand not pull apart my speech. and the 'Only two types of people need a cartoon to give them moral lessons: children and idiots' thing is just a stupid thing to say since you were once a child to. i could treat you like a 4 year old and say "if you got nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. hey kyubi nick you shadow clone jutsu has been made already (not being offensive) you can find it on tessource under that name but without all the other parts it just makes about 5 clones off yourself with all your spells and gear who hang around for i think its about minute. thanks Dean57
Marcus Wolfe
Some things from animes will go into Oblivion suprisingly easy. EX:Chidori=Lightning touchSummoning jutsus are a no-brainer, just have to create new creatures to summonSure, you may never be able to code in Gaara-style sand manipulation, Temari's fan, Kankuro's puppet, or the Death Reaper seal, but hey, if you want all that anime stuff, why don't you just play Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2? Yah, I cna understand how things like that could be either impossible of insainly hard (Who knows, to someone, waaaay out there, they might just be able to do it. Who knows.). I mainly got the idea from MGS TS because theres a boss that does that. Anyway, thanks for also commenting about my spelling. I'm not so great with it :P. However, I think, I might just have a way to incorporate (Sry if misspelled) gaara's sand into the game! First off, make it a FULL body armour (And I mean, Totaly, give it garra's entire body, and one thats just gloves) And use that to put on the sand armour (Gives boosted DF, and is light armour, don't forget the gourd!) and then, when you atack, make it just use the glove model to be the sand. Make it do some extera defence, and see if you can find a way to make it so that when you have it equiped, no other wepons can be equiped. And, replace the sheild with sand too. Now for more wepons! Aumas rist blade+chakra extesions: Its basicly a short sword with damage sightly higher than a glass short sword. Also comes with a 2nd as a shield that has the same defending modle as hand-to-hand. Dedaras exploding clay bombs: Its a spell, that sends a custom modled (Don't know if you guys can do that) projecile at the enemy, and caused an explosion, with destroys items around it, desentigrates armour, and causes all current corpses in the AoE to be removed (Unless quest or contains a quest item) Sharingan Eye: Counters all spells sent at the player and auto sends it back at the enemy. Its a spell. Thats all I can think of for now. So now Im going to go download the shadow clones.

I'm not going to put this stuff into google and try and figure out what I'm supposed to make from the few dozen pictures and a handfull of porn and other crap. If you supply the pictures, we can be certain as to what the weapons are supposed to look like.
