leiongod
hello and happy days all. Now as my post title says, my eyes are missing from my personal character in fallout 4. I'm assuming maybe some of my eye mods may have caused my character to have no eyeballs in the game so I have uninstalled both, gone back into the game and they still do not pop back into my characters eye slots, the 2 eye mods I have been using are true eyes http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7320/? and super natural eyes http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7593/?. Is there something I'm missing here ? I could be wrong but it looks like as these mods should only be adding to the eye texture files and not clashing =/ is there some type of way I can fix this ? Deleted2948850User
True Eyes replaces all the vanilla eye textures and Super Natural Eyes adds textures. Anyway, have you had any other eye mods previously? Cause it sounds as if the game is failing to load the eye model, but since the above mods don't add any models I fail to see another possible cause. leiongod
yeah just noticed I also had a mod called glowing eyes I have that installed, also I tested it out by making a new game and I can choose the new eyes there and they actually appear I previously had glowing eyes and true eyes installed and not 100% sure about this but when I installed super natural eyes at least this is my guess I loaded up the game and noticed my toon was overweight aka the items in backpack; so I exited and checked NMM and it looked like all my mods got turned off in the mod manager section. I figured uh ok just re enable them go back into game and I believe it was then at that time my guys eyeballs just vanished, so far all I'm doing is just wearing glasses to cover up my the fact I have no eye balls haha =/
Deleted2948850User
There you go, glowing eyes use their own models for the glow map to work properly. Guessing you had a pair of those on your character when you uninstalled the mod, hence, your eyes went with it.
leiongod
yeah maybe, i just read the bugs section on the authors page, others said they had experienced it themselves and one of them fixed it by typing slm 114 into console resetting face and re chose eyes. I did that as well and now they are back in my face and i can choose from all 3 eye pack mods now :D thanks for responding :D

bben46
This is a fairly common problem using the Beth game engine - all the way back to Oblivion. Using multiple eye mods can cause wacky eye problems - googley eyes, double pupils, empty eye socket or just black eyes. Sometimes you can swap the load order of the eye mods and it fixes it, but sometimes you just have to learn to live without one of the eye mods. mharratsc
Welp, here it is in late 2020, and I just experienced this problem myself with an old save. What I noticed is that, at least in my case, was that my eyes weren't missing, they were moved back inside the head model so that you couldn't click on them to edit them. I found that the only way to fix the issue was to move POV around so that I was looking at my face, and I used "showlooksmenu 14 1" and then used swapped to a different preset face using the A & D keys. Once I did that the model moved the eyes back where they were supposed to be, and then I used the doctor in Diamond City for a closeup to recreate the face that I originally made. For the Commonwealth!
