Items i use get duplicated 4 times and i cant stop it

So i installed a couple of combat mods today and played around. Adding to the list of all the other mods i like to use and have been using in the past week without problem.

 

Now whenever i use a item (ie bread) i get a message in the middle of my screen

 

"You cannot remove souls"

 

I have to click a "okay" button to remove this message four times, each time the item i used is duplicated in my screen.

 

This happens in my inventor and my SkyUI menu

 

I have removed about 10 mods, everything i have installed in the past week and beyond, and every save i load still has this bug. I also tried running loot and Verifying Catch.

 

Can anyone help, im getting to that point where no im just screwed and my hole save is endanger of being f***ed. Im talking about game uninstalling time.

 

Update: Seems i cant drop items either. I have the option and i can see the item be dropped in front of me but after i hit "yes" the item goes right back in to my inventory and that error message appears saying about souls

Have you tried going back to a previous save that didn't have the problem?

Uhm, I don't see how this Is a bad thing. Use the console command to get infinite carrying capacity and then just sell your extras. If anything your pretty lucky and this is the most best glitch I've ever seen.

Yes tried going back in saves and all of them were had this issue

 

Starting a new game and the issue doesn't appear.

 

And this is a really bad issue. Not counting the massive cheat and game imbalance, its basically going to pop up a message i have to click every-time i use, drop or move a item around in my inventory ie: Fighting a enemy drinking a potion then having a message pop up that force pauses the game and i have to click it four times just to have the game go again.

SOLVED (kinda?)

 

Got same bug after entering tavern in Windhelm.

 

Previously I removed:

 

Open Cities Skyrim

 

Did not add anything.

 

Loaded to a save several auto-saves back (3-4).

Tried dropping something, and no duplicate. Since then no more messages.

No idea what caused it or why it resolved itself.

To the OP

Sounds like what is affecting you is script related. Perhaps some mod's code has gotten scrambled some how and is processing every item you handle rather than something specific.

 

If you have a papyrus log from when this happened, you could take a look at it and see if there are any messages related to what is going on.
