Armor workbench crash

for some reason when i enter the crafting menu it instantly shuts fallout down, still searching for a fix/going through the mod to find the clash. anyone else had this problem?

Are you using any mods that edit the workshop UI menus?

 

I ask because in my mod SouthPaw UI I had a bad edit in the barter menu .swf and it would crash the game. It took me a bit to figure out because I thought it was because I was trying a lot of mods. adding them and removing them in a test game.

i've just been using the standard onexD which one would be best to use?

standard ones? not sure what you mean. I was getting at, that if the workshop menu mod has a bad file in Data/interface this could also cause the crash.

 

look to see if you have, Data/interface/ Workshop.swf in your game, if so remove it and see if the crash persists.

 

also when asking for help with a mod issue you should post your load order. I am just making guesses without any info from you to help track down the problem.

Ok, think I have made some headway on this issue. I have been having instant crashes as well when I am in the workbench for longer than a minute or so. I did find that removing most of the items in my apparel (I increased my carryweight so I have a lot of items) and only having my currently equipped gear and one other item in my apparel did not cause any crashes. I took all of the stored items and then attempted to use the workbench again, but found that it crashed in about one minute.

ah right must be an overload of data being processed possibly with all the items and upgrades ect..

The items that you may be having crashes with do not have all of their data correctly installed. Do you notice any patterns? (Are they mod items, DLC items, etc.)
