Worsin
This is what you want for DDS files Its much much faster than the NVidia plugin and is better overall. http://gametechdev.github.io/ITW-Beta-Test/

Still confusing... But I needed it to open a DDS that otherwise comes up black from nVidia plugin. Care to shred some light on how to save normal and spec map? Is it any different than diffuse map? Lilchewchew
Hi, I've been trying to open Fallout 4 textures that I've extracted from architecture/billboards folder and work on a gimp plugin that I've been using since Fallout 3 to read DDS format. But everytime I open any file with _n or _s ending my gimp can't read them. Is there something I am missing around? Do I need to install another plugin or update my gimp-2.8.14-setup-1? Deleted49413338User
The N and S open fine for me, maybe update the Plugin.
icestormng
It depends on the compression used for that file. If I remember correctly Bethesda used DXT1 for diffuse maps and BC5 (3Dc) for Normals and SpecGloss maps. Maybe your plugin cannot decompress BC5.
