How to change mod look back to original

Don't know where else to go so came here. Here's the prob. D/L'ing a ton of PA mods. All going well... til yesterday, 1/10/16. All mods working so nothing cataclysmic but my fave suit, X-01 Mark VI with Hot Rod Flames, Avatar picture there to the left, colors went from normal to ultra shiny as well as a few other suits. Kinda a waxed look to it. Here's the question, anyone know which files i need to specifically be looking for to fix this? Already deleted all mods done just previous to change. Removed all files in textures, meshes & materials that i needed to, 3 hrs of hell there, still same ultra shiny look. Its more annoying than necessary but its the principle of the thing. lol. Also tried a previous save from 2 days ago and still have issue. Any help or helpful suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using NMM, you can see (even sort by) which ones were installed most recently - start working backwards and uninstall them until you find the one that made the change. You can't just disable the mod if it is a texture replacer; the replaced texture will be there (though this may be in an ESP file and changing the specularity to a nif or something).

Edited to add: BTW - looking at old saves with the same mods installed won't tell you what the problem is. The new mods load with the old saves.

I think new NMM update messed up a lot of orders too. Umm, admin, don't kill me if I was wrong (correct me instead).

But my observation shows that NMM Plugins may not reflect the correct load order. Best way is to open LoadOrder.txt that is the true loadorder. I find this sometimes different than what I see on NMM Plugin tab.
