New? X-01 location

Eh, I wasn't asking for numbers of votes or anything. It was more like a question of having the time to fix the bloody thing's stats, since I'm back to having an awfully long commute to work and back. So my time during the week is sadly almost nonexistent.

 

I just mentioned the first time that basically I just didn't think anyone would actually want my black paint, since, well, let's face it, just turning textures black in GIMP or Photoshop are the first mods that get published. After a month, you can get pretty much any outfit in a Beth game in any colour you wish, as long as it's black :wink:

 

I just didn't think there'd be one left for me to publish :tongue:

I saw a mod for Captain America armor. I thought that one was pretty funny with Cap in the Marvel cinematic universe having been frozen in time and all. It would be hilarious if you could get him to say avengers assemble!. How hard is it to make a voice mod? Danse in the buzz lightyear mod "to infinity and beyond"

some locations have fixed sets or partial sets of PA other sites depend on your level. Minimum lev for X-01 to proc is 28. I found a Mk II set at lev 35. One of the modders said they saw codes for at least 2 sets of Mk. III in the game. Level 40 should be good enough to start finding the good stuff. If you don't like the look of your power armor there of tons of mods for that. I think the one that makes Danse look like buzz lightyear is hilarious. I have used the paint jobs from Hot rod mags and some mods adding additional paint jobs I liked the look of marijuanaflage but it was too green to match the terrain. I guess I will have to wait for the GECK to try that one again.

Star-mystyk did you find the set at south boston military checkpoint? On the back or side of that building is another PA lockup. As for the enclave look there is a mod for a camo enclave PA texture. Moraelin posted earlier in this thread he has made a shiny black texture for the X-01 if enough of us ask politely he may be convinced to publish his mod

Yes, I found that one but, at the time, it was only T-45, so I just took the core and left.

Oddly I haven't found any T-51 in this playthrough, whereas the last game it popped up a few times. But, that's okay I don't like that one, either :D

At this stage, for me, it's X-01 or it's nothing.

I'll go have a look for some mods that change the X-01. I haven't looked for any PA mods, really. The only one I did get was Hotter Flames. I like that one. Though I think it's only for T-60. I didn't try it on the X-01 from my last game, so could be wrong.

Hopefully a mod or utility comes out that fixes that annoying script. Why Bethesda chose to not allow the various PA frames to level up with the player like Skyrim's loot system is beyond me. I have 2 full sets of X-01 Power Armor with a third set missing the legs. I want a mod that allows for crafting one's very own X-01 Power Armor sets out of existing lower level suits using in-game resources like Adhesive, Copper, etc. That would be nice so I could craft a set for each of my companions besides Dogmeat (for obvious reasons).

Err, I mean the Shadowed PA Paint. And yes, it actually counts as shadowed and muffled. Bearing in mind that you're still stomping around in a clunky metal suit, so don't expect to be a master ninja in it.

 

I think I nailed the Enclave Power Armor look pretty well. What do you think?

The crafting workbenches mod lets you do exactly that, btw.

I really like the shot I got with the full body pose vs the deathclaw. This guy is full on ninja in shadowed power armor. I happen to know a thing or two about ninja's as I was a member of the bujinkan for over 20 years and hold the rank of Shodan. That pose is classic Ichimonji no kamae or #1 posture. With the weapon held low like that it would be called gedan ichmonji no kamae or low #1 posture.
