Beta crashing with certain mods might be related to this problem I'm having. Most clutter/trash/etc items now display "Picked Non Ref AV Object", and won't let me disable/enable or interact with them. This includes light sources, general clutter, many plants that can't be selected in settlement mode, as well as some corpses. If I can't interact with them through the console, several mods that try to mess with those objects might not know how to handle the problem and may CTD? Just an idea, anyway.

Not sure if it's a bug in the beta, or if this is their new idea for nerfing down mods.

Use this info at your own risk, but, if you really want to keep the beta-patch without rolling back, one option is to open console "~", click on the items that are bugged (make sure you have them specifically clicked) and type "disable". A good amount of items in game are removable this way... not all, like housing-structures and such, but a decent amount.

I'm lucky, the mods I'm using don't seem to be affected by the new beta (plugins and loadorder txt files set to read-only). Also, if you fire up Big Picture Mode and look through the game properties it has a 'never ever update EVER' option.

OMG, thank you for this! digitaltrucker is correct... find your game in the library in Big Picture Mode, click "Manage Game", then right at the top under "Preferences" click "Set Update Options" and select "Do not automatically update this game". *w00t* ^_^

i couldnt be online for some time because of private stress & moving.

i'd need to get on my desktop to have a look at it. and i will try to fix asap. but currently cant do anything about it....
i will look further into it within the next few days. i'm sry.

For me at least the gore overhaul mod is working fine on the beta patch

Voice mods stopped working in the beta. Was getting long load times, but getting the regular voices not the overlays.

Disabled those and the load times came back.

Haven't tried taking them out completely and reinstalling, that's next.

Still getting crapton of quests from Preston though. Was hoping that was fixed. oh well.

They did change some of his dialog though, same with the settlers. So we'll see.

Going to try a new game once I finish off this one to see how it goes.

That's the single most annoying thing in the game. You could wind up doing nothing *but* Minuteman quests.

Keymapping changed too. Used to have the F key to rotate items in workshop, now it's the mouse buttons.

I didn't change anything.

It also tagged a buncha stuff as favorite, which I suspect is from me trying to use the F key to rotate things.

Other than the voices, patch isn't causing me any issues. Have about 40 mods running. Even trying out the new graphics

goodies for NV cards. Maxed about everything except godrays, and all is well. Even my monstrous settlements. :)

Interesting, I've just downloaded a new gore mod that was released today which overrides gore overhaul, but I am still crashing specifically in and near Sanctuary.

Still tried removing the gore bits files but still crashing... unclicked Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks as another user suggested and still crashing.

Reverted back and everything is fine.

I don't use any base building or settlement expansion mods/esp's either... haven't even built a base yet, just playing the missions + exploring... info that may help narrow it down. I've tried to keep my load order/esp's to a bare minimum.

I have retexture mods on nearly everything, so process of elimination will suck... I had a weird random CTD before that was caused by a toaster.dds file in an overhaul package.

Reverting back for now I guess.
