CacoDemon0 Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Evening all. I'm having a problem with the Mages Guild quest where you finally get to kill Mannimarco. Unfortunately, after traversing through the cavern and slaying his henchmen I encounter him only to find that after talking to him, he's impervious to any attack I make, the weapons and spells go right through him, and none of his spells are working either. I read through a walkthrough to see if I had done anything wrong, and found that -he's- supposed to paralyze and talk to you or something, yet when I encounter him, he's just standing there like a neutral NPC. I havn't been able to find any information regarding this issue within the forums or on Google. How do I fix this bug? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rhydderch Hael Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Common enough bug. Within the game, you can still defeat him if you have Reflect Spell or Reflect Damage— he essentially kills himself. You can still drown him or have him follow you off a tall cliff— just make sure that you're able to survive those as well. Don't know if any dungeon traps (spikes, blades, gas) will work. But I know for sure that you better not rely on friendly NPCs to help you out: they can't hurt him either. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CacoDemon0 Posted June 7, 2007 Author Share Posted June 7, 2007 Well, I tried making him fall into the water, and after much running about, finally made him fall in. Unfortunately, he seems to have water walking or there is some kind of clipping bug where he just stands there on the surface trying to summon things (None of his spells are working). I've never had the bug you're describing in my game but I've read about it in Oblivion forums. I lured him into the water and stabbed the crap out of him in combination with a shock-touch spell. Whether it was the spell or the drowning that killed him I'll never know, but I was very happy with the loot he left behind. OOO really makes this a lot harder, yet more fun. Thanks for your help.
