tomomi1922
your right about grip and accuracy tomomi1922 but trust me if you ever try a S&W 500 or a .454 Casull your gonna want to hang onto it. Never put your other hand on the gun either the venting gases will literally blow your fingers or thumb off. Get a firm grip on the handle and brace your wrist with the other hand I tried the Desert Eagle. Haha I know. It was recommended to have a very firm grip so the weapon doesn't fly off and hit my face. Bigger is not always better. I mean, I would hate to be on the receiving end of that gun, even at the hand of someone who doesn't know how to shoot. But on the shooter side, I even feel more scared because I really have to depend on pure luck to hit my target, even at close range about 10-20ft away. Moraelin
Not a requirement. I went back and tried it. If memory serves, I did grab the minigun and start shooting, ignoring the power armor altogether (for the sake of testing). This is at level 2 with my character having 2 points in Strength. So the entire setup of "go get the fusion core, so you can power the suit and use a minigun" is only a mean to introduce us power armor with fusion core. The mini gun is just ... cool. But no strength requirement what so ever. Hmm, I seem to remember it said I need 6 strength when I tried to activate it on roof without power armour on. Of course, though, once it's off the vertibird, even strength 1 is enough to pick it up or shoot it. Really, the requirement isn't on the minigun, it's just on the script on that static item. robhartman9
The 3 .50 caliber hand cannons I know of all serve very different purposes. The Desert Eagle is made for warfare. The .454 Casull is for big game hunting. The S&W 500 is for killing a grizzly bear that's already on top of you. In the game Kelloggs pistol looks close enough to the .454 Casull so to get back to the OP's post a simple mod to give it a damage boost and a shiny finish and bobs your uncle.https://youtu.be/ll--DXOWPyA
Moraelin
Well, giving it a shine should be as simple as making a texture swap that actually only swaps the environment to chrome.
robhartman9
After watching the expert in the video I have to say Bethesda nailed it right out of the box at least for the 44 anyway. Standard, Hardened, Powerful, Advanced receivers are like .45 Colt, .44 Magnum, .44 Marlin, .454 Casull. The legendary mod Powerful is like the .50 S&W. Kelloggs pistol has the legendary mod Relentless. I downloaded a mod for crafting legendary mods so changing that to powerful is no problem.
