lostone1993 Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I have a question about AVG if anyone know this is about the latest version Steam and AVG don't get along so usally I Disable AVG before trying to get steam to work I notice there is no way to turn it off if anyone knows can you please answer Next I go into the process manager and try to end there, I turn off four of the five processesThe 5 one will not end then a sec later the four I disabled Started up again This seems to be normal I tried on 5 Friends computer that have avg install One that does not connect to the internet at all So not a Virus So I take that this feature is good ? So my questions are1. is this process thing Normal ?2. Is this feature good in a anti-virus ?3. Is there a way to turn off AVG Anti-Virus ? evilneko Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Sounds like AVG is protecting itself from being killed, which is perfectly normal and expected behavior. There is a way, within the gui, to disable real-time monitoring. I haven't used AVG for a long time however.
