MidbossVyers
I was browsing around uesp.net and read the Nord page. One of the more brusque greetings of a Nord is "You remind me of a witch I once knew. I hate witches." Is this statement to a Nord or from a Nord? If it is to, how can Nords be competent witches (assuming they're female in the first place, of course)? They have an intelligence penalty, and their only magic bonus is in restoration. Explain. ub3rman123
It's a statement about a witch said by a Nord. There's been an ongoing easter egg involving Nords and witches. In Morrowind there was a naked Nord you could meet in the wilderness who says he was cursed by a witch and wants revenge. In Tribunal there's a naked Nord who says something along the lines of, "What witch? Why do you assume I've been cursed by a witch? It's just hot here." I recall there ARE Nord witches in Bloodmoon, though.
MidbossVyers
Which (LOL) goes back to my point of asking: how can Nords be successful in careers of magic, beside mild healing? Edited April 13, 2011 by MidbossVyers
Telyn
It depends on what you consider success, I suppose. I imagine she can back it up with a weapon. Try it. :)

David Brasher
When I start new characters, I often roll dice to determine race, class, and birthsign. I come up with some awful combinations. Like my Atronach Spellsword, or my Orc Healer. But I stick with them and do my best to role-play right. And you know, it really doesn't seem to matter. If you have a messed-up character, it just slows you down. You can still complete quests and empty dungeons and be a successful adventurer if you are thoughtful and cautious. Perhaps the Nord witches are the most highly skilled Nord magic users. Compared to Bretons or Altmer, they would seem pathetic, but in a land full of Nords, their magic ability seems awesome and terrifying. ub3rman123
They may well use a different magic entirely. Something unique to their race.

Zapata935
Did you know this fact, the last witch burnt alive was in Co Tipperary in 1895. Not so long ago as all of us may have thought, that's if your a human being of course. Best Wishes Zapata935
