PhoenixGryphon
I know this is a modders forum, but I was wondering what platform (PC/PS3/360) are most people going to start out on? I currently have this reserved in 360 format, but want to know if there are going to be cool mods out fairly early on after release, I would switch it to PC... I'm getting a sweet gaming PC rig that will handle this, but don't want to waste my money on buying the wrong software set. Thanks for voting and helping me decide! ub3rman123
Buy it for PC, otherwise you'll most likely regret it. I'll wager we'll be seeing the first mods for the game the day of release, but the good stuff won't come for at least a week unless ports prove very easy. IndorilTheGreat
I'm definitely going with the PC version. The one thing that kept me playing Oblivion for all of these years is the mods that people have made. You can bet that there will be mods released fairly soon after release. Just out of curiosity, what does your new rig consist of?

hector530
if you have a PC that can run it well there is NO reason to get for the 360 or PS3
runforitkyle
There was a problem with the 2nd gen Intel core but i think they fixed it. Sandy bridge it was called, some core ports not working.
Corakus
I would like to play it on the PC, unfortunately my PC is rather crap and I get bad enough lag with Oblivion, if I want to play Skyrim with an fps over 10, I'll probably have to get it on the 360. CommanderCrazy
Have a guess. :P If you get it on a console, you will regret it. There is always bugfix mods that can make an insane difference in the long run.
LordWushin
Besides Corakus' reason, I would say PC. Here's why - my friend bought Oblivion for 360 because he said he liked his xbox. Shortly thereafter he say me playing with a patch and mods and cheats. Nevertheless he bought Oblivion for the PC next and now has two copies. My point is MONEY! Don't waste it, if you know you are going to want to get it on the PC then get it, if your don't like PC then console away my friend, no one will, at least I, won't judge! Moja
If you have a good enough system, definitely get it for the PC. Why would you give up the ability to custom tailor the game to your preferences, and dramatically extend playable content and enhance the game quality? Personally I'm getting the PC version for the mods (and plan to do some modding of my own). I will be playing with a controller though. Best of both worlds imo :)
