Fallout 3 and Windows 7

paroxysm

Recommended Posts

I posted here about... four months ago, lost the link to my thread, completely forgot.

Anyway, I recently purchased a new computer, with Windows 7, and decided to buy the GOTY just because it was all-in-one, fully patched, etcetera, and it just seemed easier. It has given me nothing but problems.

I installed, did no mods, did EXACTLY NOTHING, ran the game, and it froze. I got about thirty seconds into the birth scene before it froze. I've had this the last time I tried installation - it varied, from thirty seconds to almost ten minutes before the crash.

I present to you my dxDiag (well, the important parts):

ok using chrome browser now, I just uninstalled all internet explorer crap, I am so sick of have to deal with miss mashed code lately, it's not fun ya know, any way, you are missing Direct x software that does not come with store bought units, you also have installed a game that was not made for 64 bit os, With that game came Outdated software Not gaming software But windows software Not compatible with the OS you Now have. To help you, your gonna have to do some reading. Any one of my links host a S***t load of things that will guide you to game frenzy. You need one file from me Via the E-mail rout. I am a system analyst and have credentials with development in Microsoft IT department. I can give you a setup coded file to get your system up to snuff with todays gaming softwares. Otherwise you will continue to have problems with that system. The only other way is to outright Buy the OS separate through Microsoft's chain, Not retail understand, OEM RT RD RM and regional. your missing a truck load of files that do not come with retail machines. You may also find Demo software embedded on that machine as well. I tell you this up front rather you find out down the road. It's better for you to know now before going any further. Get your mind right. This is a lot to swallow in one bite. Take your time relax and read a little. Look at my stuff, look at LHammonds stuff, look at all there is to look at. But relax and read just a little. you will then understand what's up.
