ub3rman123
If you want a good RPG... Neverwinter Nights is epic. From the creators of Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins and based on Dungeons and Dragons.

ita
PLANESCAPE: TORMENT Deus Ex and System Shock 2, if you're OK with 1st person action RPG's. Roguelikes such as Nethack and Ancient Domains of Mystery are nice too, also IVAN if you're feeling masochistic.

ita
They're both excellent games and you should try them out as soon as possible. If you play System Shock 2, I strongly recommend that you grab the texture upgrade mod.

AurianaValoria1
NWN is great...both the original, its expansions, and NWN2 and its expansions. It's what got me into Forgotten Realms and D&D in general. The combat style is (sort-of) turn based. You just click on an enemy and your character does the rest on his/her own. Of course, you must interrupt the "flow" if you want to cast a spell or something. Each character in combat takes a turn, and you can't act until it is your turn again. You can queue many actions up at a time if you want. You can also pause the game at any time with the spacebar. The original game is an awesome adventure. It's expansions Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark are great as well. The second game in the series blows them away, in my opinion, especially its expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, which is beautifully executed. There's another expansion, Storm of Zehir, that follows a more lighthearted D&D style campaign, with a custom party of 4. Hope this info helps you out!

ub3rman123
If you would, I'd compare the combat aspect to Dragon Age: Origins. It only lacks the massively in-depth companions (Although your henchmen have their own stories!).
