DjBorsch
Howdy, Nexus dwellers. A while ago I've released a ME2 Jack body tattoo retexture for CBBE, and I've been planning to make an outfit to complement it ever since. However, now that I actually got around to working on it, I realized that modelling really, REALLY isn't my cup of tea. So now I'm basically looking for someone to either: A) Walk me through editing an existing in-game outfit (I don't want to use other people's work and existing mods unless really necessary) to make it look like Jack's outfit from ME2 (the leather strap one), or B) Collaborate with me in making the mod and create the model itself. in both cases you'll receive proper credit, of course. Also forgive me if I shouldn't be posting stuff like this here / I'm posting in the wrong section, I'm new to the forums. Thanks in advance. DjBorsch
Welp, nothing to jump on, it seems.(Also shamelessly bumping it)
ShinraStrife
Well I'm no expert on 3d modeling (dabbled in blender but am learning maya) but judging by her outfit it would seem quite easy to do cuz shes not wearing much at all. I can't tell if shes wearing a skintight shirt or if they are tattoos from pictures of her. There are also a bunch of different pictures with different outfits so I'd need a front side and back picture to go off of (sorry but I haven't played mass effect )After the bulk of the modeling is done for a WIP I'm working on I'd be happy to make it, or I'll just do it bits and pieces at a time in-between work for my mod. PM me or reply if your still interested.
Kikaimegami
Not my req, but I can offer a little help. As always, Troodon has what you need. Also, they're tattoos ;) http://troodon80.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-2-Jack-Model-Reference-273485600 http://troodon80.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-3-Jack-Reference-291498445 I've been thinking of doing parts of her ME3 outfit (specifically that awesome body wrap), but that's so far on the back burner it's in another time zone. Shoulda known they'd have some on there. *facepalm* Another thing I'd need to make the models is what kind of body DjBorsch wants it made for. If you want vanilla, or CBBE slim/curvy I can get started on it right away, but if you have a custom body in mind, I'll need the nif files for it. Kikaimegami
Well, the topic title just says CBBE, but the nice thing about 3d modeling is you can go ahead and make something for any body and convert it to another later. I have a bad habit of putting 110% effort into the male meshes for something, then just converting those to female via lattice deforms (in Blender.. I assume other editors have them too). Sculpting boobs out of a male mesh is always so much fun.
DjBorsch
Whoah, didn't expect to see that many replies at once.Yep, the tattoos are all done (-ish) and released on Nexus. Just need the outfit now. I'm thinking CBBE slim, as it's the closest preset to Jack's actual body. Making it bodyslide compatible would be awesome, too, but i suppose that's for another day. I do have the .nif's of a more jack-ish preset I've made for CBBE, but I doubt it'd be reasonable to make an outfit specifically for it as not many people'd use it. The player doesn't have to have the body shape's NIFs for whichever one you do decide to have the outfit modeled for. They only need the textures if it's a custom body. Say for instance the user has a CBBE curvy body and your outfit is modeled after a custom body that you made. The armor will take the shape of the body that it was modeled after and wont show the body that the user has installed. (there wont be any clipping issues and the body will still appear under your outfit) However, if the user doesn't have CBBE installed the textures will be positioned wrong and the body underneath the armor will look like a garbled up mess. This is kinda hard to explain so if you want to see how this all works for yourself follow these steps: Download CBBE. Pick whatever body you want or make your own with bodyslide. Download an armor set that was modeled after a specific body type (Corsair X-92 non-bodyslide suit is a good one) In game you will see the body you installed when you're naked or using bodyslide compatible armor, but when you wear the courser suit the body underneath takes on the shape that the courser suit was modeled for. Now uninstall CBBE and see what happens to the courser suit when you equip it. The body textures looks weird. Basically what I'm trying to say is that outfits replace the body underneath with whatever body the outfit was modeled after, regardless of what the user has installed. DjBorsch
Yeah, well, let's just stick to CBBE slim then. The textures I've made work fine with it.
