Crashing with mods

Kames

Recommended Posts

I re-installed Fallout 3 after New Vegas. I checked some new mods (new for me) and installed them. But now when I play, the game crashes in Windows. It takes about couple of minutes of playing to crash. I really don´t think that graphics are the issue, becouse I have played Fallout 3 and NW with these same setting before without problems.

Maybe someone could take a look at this screenshot of FOMM:

I think I have FOOK2, Fallout Wanderer, Mart´s Mutant Mod and Fellout.

edit:

Maybe I should still put my specs here.

Intel DualCore 2.8Ghz

5 BG DDR2

Radeon HD 5700- series 1 GB

I commonly use medium setting in everything. 2x rendering.

First things first: You really should put the Fallout 3 and the DLC's on top. (FO3 first)

You could also look in FoMM under "load order" and then press "load order report" scroll all the way down and you'll see the order FoMM recommends. (or just use the BOSS auto sort function)

OK, I tried first the BOSS auto sort thing. Same results. Then I just deleted some of the mods but same results.

Here is the latest load order report:

Yeah, I really don't know Fook2 and MMM, so I don't know how or if they conflict. (you might want to check on their respective mod pages to see if they are compatible with each other and possibly FO3 wanderers edition.

Anyhow, you might want to use FO3 edit to do a masterupdate of your load order.

FO3 edit can be found here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=637

Optionally a manual: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8629 (If you're interested in what it does  )

All you need to do is to install FO3 edit in the FO3 directory, then make a copy of the FO3edit.exe and rename it to FO3MasterUpdate.

Double click it, let it do it's work and then exit. Then start FO3 again to see if it helps. (No success guaranteed though, like I said, it might just be something about Fook2 or MMM.)

(It's got nothing to do with graphics settings by the way)

Edit: you did update FO3 right? You said you reinstalled FO3 so...

Well, first off: did you follow up on my recommendation about FO3Edit?

Second: A big red ! usually means the there's something wrong with your meshes. Considering you've got only Fook2 running, that's where the problem must be.

As I said before, I'm not familiar with FOOK2, but you might want to see if you've installed it right. (put everything in the right folders)

Also, did you run archiveinvalidation?

Yes I did run the FO3edit and there were some errors. Now I try to re-install the game again and all the mod-stuff... again... :)
