Well Optimized graphics mods

Hey guys. I was just wondering are a lot of the graphics mods not well optimized or is it just the gamebryo engine that's terrible.

I've got 4 GB RAM, an ATI Radeon HD 5730M and an i7-720QM and Crysis (vanilla) seems to work at 40-60 FPS most of the times whereas when I tried to play nehrim maxed out, FPS was <20-30. Even the vanilla oblivion does this when I get out in the worldspace while trying to play on maximum settings.

So I just wanted to ask is it just my computer or is the gamebryo engine not really well made? Did they overcome these problems in Fallout 3 and FONV?

I did notice that I had something like 30-50 FPS most of the times for FO3 and FONV while playing maxed out.

You are playing an old game, designed for older cards and a single processor. The newer games can make far better use of multiple cores than Oblivion. With Oblivion, one fast core beats two or more slower cores every time. 20-30 fps is fine for TV or cinema - why worry about it for gaming? Edited by MarkInMKUK

It doesn't really. I guess it's probably the stuttering. Then again, I don't know. It seemed pretty sluggish for some reason. Maybe it was less than that.

These should increase your framerate significantly. ;)

Any chance these could be used with Nehrim?

Any other similar mods that I could use or any way I could have all the super-enhancing, photorealism, life-like graphics mods without feeling the gameplay getting sluggish?

You can Pyffi nehrim's meshes, the dungeons, the architecture, the rocks, etc. to improve performance.

Operation optimization and Pyffi do the same thing, with pyffi being the better of the two.

I think you can just change the master in Streamline to nehrim... I believe there is already a working thread on the nehrim forums on this subject.
