^^^^^ it's like bioware saying mass effect 3 will be the end of the trilogy but EA has said for years now that they won't stop at a trilogy. in the end bioware is gonna listen to its slavemaster and make mass effect 4 next year. Also I was really disappoint bunige made another halo even if I think reach was the game they ever made. I wanted to see if bungie could make a decent game that isn't halo.

Also elder scrolls have SO many things to explore and storys tell for it to end at skyrim

Agreed, I doubt they will stop the Elder Scrolls series for a LONG TIME...why?...

Because Elder Scrolls is their bread and butter so to speak...The first elder scrolls was made when I was born (1993)...and has been going on strong for Years now...sure, Fallout series are great games...but will it ever pass elder scrolls? Highly Doubtful.

I don't see them stopping production of Elder Scrolls till many years to come.

Though the prophecies end at Skyrim. There are other provinces in Tamrial to base new games on. When you recall NPC's talking rumors in Oblivion. They mention events happening in Summerset Isle, Black Marsh, etc.

It might be the end of TES, but Bethesda has a long way to go, before calling it quits on Tamriel.

If not Tamriel, then Akavir I hope.

Yeah, there are rumors about some events in Black Marsh in Oblivion if I remember right, so there might be all kinds of rumors like this in Skyrim for all I can tell or mayby the Nords simply decide they need to expand a little if you get my point. Once they finish with all the provinces, who said they can not return to an old province once more? The lore is made wich each new game they release and it will probably evolve accordingly.

I don't think we will see the end of the Elder Scrolls Universe with Skyrim but I have a feeling we won't see the next game confined to one region like Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind were. Cyrodiil and Skyrim are the 2 largest regions in Tamriel and to make the sequel to Skyrim in a smaller region like Highrock or something would seem a little backwards.

I would love to see either serious expansions for Skyrim like Akavir and them take their time on the next Elder Scrolls. I wouldn't mind waiting several years if we get something amazing like the whole of Tamriel.

I wouldn't worry

Bethesda will keep producing Elder Scrolls just as long as it is a hugely profitable series - and bearing in mind that Skyrim looks destined to be HUGe, I think you can assume there'll be many more to come

In some interview Todd mentioned that its not like they have been building up to this climax, When they were creating a story for Skyrim they just decided that it would fit rather well to include these events in the story.

And as is mentioned before. Bethesda = The elder Scrolls. When you hear Todd speak about lore or anything you can just hear his passion about it all. They won't abandon that.

I think there is even quite a chance that after Skyrim, They start development on the next one already ( like oblivion-morrowind ). And we will certainly see a new TES game at the new "next gen" gaming consoles.
