Anyone in Las Vegas with experience installing FCOM mod?

If it is alright for me to ask, I was just wondering if there is anyone in the Las Vegas area that knows how to install the FCOM mod... I've tried following the step-by-step instructions on the site and I just can't seem to do it right. :wallbash: I'm not real good with computers/mods so I'd like to know if there's anyone in my area that is who would be willing to help me out a little. I'm sooo close to just going to Best Buy and asking the Geek Squad :sweat:

Google for the FCOM Superpack - you'll still need OBMM and Wrye Bash, but it's as simple as it'll ever get. You WILL end up with some of the optional mods, and you may not like them all, but you can uninstall the bits you hate and just rebuild the bashed patch.

 

Personally I went with the uFCOM OMOD file though - that made it fairly simple

I think I may have found someone at work to help me out. Yay! Thanks HeyYou for the offer lol if I were rich I would probably really consider it because the mod is THAT frustrating for me :laugh:

MarkInMKUK, I googled FCOM superpack, and all I can find are torrents... not sure I really wanna go for that :laugh: I'm hoping my coworker can help me out- I'll be so totally happy. I'm getting into Oblivion again because 1. I never even started the Main quest (I was too busy doing all the side quests hehe) and 2. I need something to tide me over until Skyrim comes out :biggrin:

I'll let you all know if we're successful in installing the mod! ^_^

Okiedokie, time for an update.

I didn't get to go see my coworker this week, because I had a dentist appt. (Fuuun. :dry: ) So I tried installing FCOM myself, after figuring out what was wrong with Wrye Bash. I think I did it! *happy dance* Everything runs smoothly, (it got a little slow when I added all the Midas Magic to my inventory, but it's getting better) but BOSS is telling me to do a few things with MMM. It says there are a couple files I need to replace with different ones, but I can't seem to find where to download them. Also when I go to deactivate the files that are 'obsolete' in OBMM, it says I should deactivate the whole mod first. Should I? Would that ruin everything? I noticed something was funky when I witnessed a bandit get into a fight with a giant yellow "!" (which was pretty funny, cuz the "!" talked and I was able to loot the "body") But other than the few files that need to be replaced, everything is working pretty good I think :)

But just to make sure, how do I know everything is working fine? What is it about FCOM that makes the game unique, other than different and more enemies?

If anyone can help me with the MMM issue, that would be so awesome :) I'm already so excited, if you can't tell by my post being all over the place :biggrin:
