WolfLuyt
A monster hunting faction sounds like a pretty cool idea..how far did you get with developing?
BobbyP92
I have a very similar mod plan myself. It kinda all spiraled from just wanting to good model of van helsings crossbow in skyrim haha ... Now I have a 10 character story with arcs that cover each character within about 6 chapters, 4 or 5 large locations that I have millions of references images for the whole damn thing. But no rig for me until around July or August this year and then the sheer amount of skills or assests I'd have to learn/create. I think I have the determination to stick at it, but i'm also a bloody perfectionist! I just hope I'm not too late to the party :( May be calling on some of you guys next year with help on lore if you don't mind! And restoring kilkreath ruins is something I'm also very keen for. If I ever get done with my initial plans ...
Deleted31449895User
Also, after completing the main quest of my mod you become the leader of Fohelm, and it becomes your own town.
BobbyP92
If your PC can run skyrim then you can certainly manage some stuff in the creation kit I imagine. If you make a start on the more vanilla asset based stuff, then modders and other people will be more inclined to help with the harder stuff :). Start simple then the community will hopefully help you fill in the gaps. The creation kit tutorials on youtube are easy enough.
ddavies10693
Like others have said, some of the ideas seem quite OP, and I also think an undead hunting werewolf would be too unfriendly to lore for a large amount of people to get behind. To be honest, once/if the Fallout 4 creation kit comes out, most people will probably stop modding skyrim entirely.

ddavies10693
If you enjoy creating ideas, and want to be part of a community (as a large mod idea like this would need a group) I would say try your hand at creating ideas within fallout 4 and the forums there. Once the creation kit comes out, people will need grand and large ideas, because they will finally have the ability to create those ideas. Skyrim modding in general is starting to fade unfortunately. You have to remember, the game is now 5 years old, and the fact this site remains as active as it is now is a testament to the strength of the game and the community. The best modders for skyrim will start modding for fallout 4 because the engine is the same for both games. Most things possible in skyrim will be possible in fallout 4 in the future. You may not need to give up on ideas in general, but you have a better chance of being a part of a large fallout 4 project.

It would not work well in Fallout's setting. I do have a Fallout 4 idea, but it clearly is not as well thought out, give its low amount of replies compared to this topic. Also, why abandon Skyrim? Fallout 4 and Skyrim are two different games. I can understand if we were talking about TES6, but Fallout 4? People didn't abandon New Vegas because Skyrim came out. In fact, modding is still strong in New Vegas.
ddavies10693
All I'm saying is, the type of modders who would be able to accomplish the types of grand ideas you're thinking of will likely be on the newer games. I'm not saying Skyrim will be abandoned, I just think focus will shift even more than it already has.
Caerulean
We still may try something possibly simple though, such as 'renovating' Kilkreath Temple. Try duplicating all interior cells of the temple (and balcony) in the CK and remove all the corpses and the black mist effect. I don't know how to set it though to only activate after Meridia's quest and how to connect it to the entrance door(s). Next step would be to add NPCs and faction(s).
