Settlement Problems

So far things have been easy mod wise. But after a round of updates today I am having issues. Firstmost among the fact that I can't place generators now. Can't even open the electricity section of the settlement menu. What's more, the castle repair mod by DDProductions83 isn't working properly, the sections won't show up in my special section.

 

I have the tech side down, but I am ignorant as can be about conflicts and load order, so while I try doing it one mod at a time, I hoped that you guys might have some advice for me vis-a-vis load order or conflicts from my load order.

Recommended load order and other recommendations based on my personal experience (using mainly settlement mods) and helping others so far:

 

 

 

Fallout4.esm=1

ArmorKeywords.esm=1

 

SettlementKeywords.esm=1 <- make sure you use at least 0.6, preferrably the latest version

 

Homemaker.esm=1 <- make sure, you use 1.31d

 

Snap'n Build.esm=1

 

Robot Home Defence.esm=1 <- make sure, you use the latest version and get the SK-patch (see below for placement)

 

Arbitration - Resources.esm=1

Scrappable_Commonwealth.esm=1

 

Snap and Build - Capsule.esp=1 <- redundant and possibly conflicting with the full Snap and Build mod. Remove this.

 

Snap and Build - Modules.esp=1

AlternateSettlements.esp=1

 

ExpandedSettlementBuildings.esp=1 <- make sure, you use the uncategorized version of this

 

Safe SSEx.esp=1 <- I strongly recommend to get rid of this. It is outdated, probably abandoned, has some issues on its own and even more with other settlement mods and SK. It also adds almost nothing that Homemaker doesn't have and won't be supported by Homemaker from 1.33 on. If you choose to keep it anyways, try the SSEx - SK patch someone made (see below for placement)

 

Workshop_Planters.esp=1 <- I also recommend to get rid of this for similar reasons like SSEx. Also there is no SK patch for this as far as I know. Use either the planters from Homemaker or take a look at NX Pro Farming instead.

Homemaker - SK-SSEx-SnB.esp=1 <- if you chose to remove SSEx as recommended, use

Homemaker - SK-SnB.esp instead and put it here

 

Homemaker-SettlementKeywords-patch.esp=1 <- redundant and conflicting with the one above, remove it

 

Robot Home Defence - Settlement Keywords.esp <- get this patch and put it here

 

Homemaker - Unlocked Institute Objects SK.esp=1

 

... everything not settlement-related goes here...

 

 

 

Apart from that, a common reason for crashes on workshop menus is missing meshes which seems to happen more often lately when installing with NMM or MO2. Please check, if all files from your settlement workshop mods are correctly installed or try to install manually.

 

Seeing that you also run quite some weapon/armor crafting mods, you might also already have run into the category cap. So you might want to check for the newest versions of AWKCR, Crafting Workbenches, Armorsmith Extended and other crafting-related mods.

 

As for all the scrapping mods you use: I haven't used these due to the known issues with them. I personally can recommend the latest version of Spring Cleaning so you might want to check it out.
