Hi new to fallout 4 recently bought it played it and thoroughly enjoyed it. i heard that for the pc there was mods so i came across nexus mods

i followed Gophers tutorial of installation etc etc edited what he told me to and so on.

i installed around 8 mods all from most endorsed first 2 pages ( obviously they work as people are endorsing others to use them)

heres the list

Enhanced Blood Textures

Settlement Supplies Expanded 2.5 - Safe SSEx

Craftable Ammo

Working Food Planters

Easy Hacking

Homemaker - Expanded Settlements

Carry Weight Modifications

Customize Legendary Enemy Spawning

these are all the mods

once installed them ticked them etc VIA NMM

tried to launch game made it to the please stand by screen -------> https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi6rPmM28TJAhXMvRoKHbWGAAYQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pcgamesn.com%2Ffallout-4%2Fplease-stand-by-bethesda-suggest-fallout-4-news-is-imminent&psig=AFQjCNFMDaD8J6vaUqAWnGzOTc14dH0gSg&ust=1449404616815796

then it crashes to desktop within 3-5seconds

please someone help me :/

my pc specs

GPU

geforce gtx titan z

geforce gtx titan z

intel core i7-5930k @ 4.4ghz OC to 5.1ghz

resolutionn 2560 x 1440 asus rogswift

32gb ram

1tb SSD

4TB HDD

I am now facing the exact same problem.

Had a bunch of mods installed, manually, game was running fine. Decided to switch to NMM because my list was getting quite long and manual management was getting troublesome, did a clean install of the game, and reinstalled all my mods (the same ones as before) with NMM. Now everytime I get to the stand by screen before the main menu it crashes. The moment I activate even a single plugin the game stops functioning.

Steps taken to correct this problem:

Clean game install: 3 times

Verify integrity: 20+ times

Clean NMM install: 5+ times

(Clean install means also manually deleting the fallout 4 remaining files, fallout 4 my document files and fallout 4 appdata files, and playing the vanilla game for a bit to get the new files sorted and created)

Installing mods 1 at a time, and booting the game after every install: 3 times

Here's the funny thing, the crash starts happening with random mods, a mod that worked fine (was even playing with it and using it ingame), the first and second time, proved to be causing the crash on the third try.

The above leads me to believe that either it is completely random, which is messed up for troubleshooting, or I'm missing some major elephant in the room.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, it would be most welcome, or i would be forced to switch back to my manual installation until this problem is proven to be solved.

Side Info:

- NMM, Steam and Fallout 4 all installed on the same drive

Please export your full load order from NMM in text form and put it here in spoiler tags and I'll provide recommendations.

I'm curently in the process of doing another full reinstall, the moment it is done i'll post my loadorder.

My loadorders are sorted with LOOT, if that gives you any indication.

Load order has been added!

Reinstall has sorted some effect, after every few tweaks i make, regarding INI files or the appdata folder, it takes just a few seconds longer before i crash. Still can't play but something looks like it's having an effect.

Before reinstall: Crash on please stand by screen.

After reinstall: Crash on the moving COG screen which follows the please stand by

After tweaking and sorting: Crash when the "you're special" intro starts playing.

The crashes before or at the main menu don't always have the exact same timing even when making no changes, so I don't think, your tweaks actually have any effect on that.

I am a bit confused since in your original post you listed some settlement workshop mods, but I don't see any of them in your load order.

Anyways: does NMM show any plugin in orange/red in the load order?

Are you using the Fallout beta patches again? If so, try downgrading to retail 1.2.37. Other than that I don't have a specific idea. Probably just narrow it down, until you find the one mod causing it (I did get it right, that with all mods disabled, it works fine?)

Fixed! Turns out the NMM was borking the installation of my mods. Doing a manual install after installing the mods with the NMM fixed the problem.

Issues i found: When installing manually, after installing with NMM, sometimes the manual install netted 430 files to install, while the NMM install netted 260, so over 100 files were missing.
