Marcus Wolfe Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Of course, some dogs were bred for their survivability, like wolf hounds, St.Bernards, y'know, the big tough dogs, the ones that actually stand a chance living a month in the life of a wolf. So it's not all about dependency, it's about usefulness/appeal to man. Admittedly, dependency is a factor to usefulness in man in several domesticated species.
