Yes, DNA of dead organisms does decay over time, but it doesn't mutate.
Yes, it doesn't mutate, but I can't explain that what I mean, I don't know how to say it in English :(

DNA mutates because of radiation not sitting in the ground. Old DNA isn't mutated; it's just old.

@bat: I know what a chromosome is. I took Biology. A chromosome is a bunch of coiled DNA that is the blueprint for cells. I just simply didn't have a good example at the time...

As for the evidence over popularity, evidence over rules it. Just because a theory is popular doesn't mean evidence will suddenly appear, but nowadays, if a theory has hard evidence backing it up, it will be popular. Aliens for example. It's not really a theory, but it is debated. Most people don't believe in aliens, but if a space ship landed on Earth and aliens walked out on live tv, then the evidence will be there that aliens do exist and everyone will believe.

About the skeleton, even if that one skeleton of the 50/50 isn't real doesn't mean dinosaurs didn't evolve into birds. There are still many other skeletons that are 20/80/ or 30/70 etc. that still prove it.

Aye, we'll be waitin' fer it.

In the meantime, I shall set up a new line of defense:

"Yes, it doesn't mutate, but I can't explain that what I mean, I don't know how to say it in English"

Do you mean decompose? While DNA does decompose, it doesn't actually change the DNA it just destroys small parts of it. It's like trying to put together a puzzle with a missing piece as opposed to a puzzle with a non fitting piece. And, seeing as you can get that other piece of the puzzle from another DNA strand, it's not that hard.

recent evidence shows that ...<snip>

Err, what are you talking about...<snip>

He's actually right, Peregrine. Though his example is lacking.

The Epigenome consists of the chemicals attached to the genome which determine which genes are expressed. Changes in the epigenome DO happen during life. This is why Identical Twins diverge over time. Aaaaaand... they are passed on! Not all of them, certainly, but they are.

2. Even before all that 'evidence' was found (50/50 fossil) the evolutionist allready claimed birds came from dinosaurs. And there they find a the complete fossil of dinosaur covered with feathers. Fits perfectly, no? A bit too perfect maybe. And whatever you might have heard: there is still no evidence that fossil is real. Checked several sources.

How many thousands of equivalent fossils MIGHT they have found?

*part deleted, since the argument hasn't come up recently*

Hey, Mr.I-can't-pronounce-your-name, I think AGREED is 1 word.

heheheheheheheheheheheah I couldn't resist.

And what were you quoting? I checked the last 10 posts, there's nothing about recent evidence. That evidence can't really be that recent now.

AND WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE WHOLE UNIVERSE THING AGAIN!!!!!!!!

...?

What's with the anger? I made a minor spelling mistake. Do you flame everyone who makes a minor spelling mistake? That wasn't even spelling, I just accidentially hit "space" at the wrong time.

I was quoting a post a little while back. Do you have a problem with that?

You are right in that it hasn't popped up recently, so I'll go back and edit my post accordingly. But really, now...

Sorry, I just couldn't resist poking (and by poking I mean stabbing) fun at you. You seemed so.......

OUT THERE......................

Whatever.

I guess we're all crazy in our own way.

Because we all have unique DNA.

But our DNA is not unique enough to to lack a flaw.

Yet, you always find this flaw in a different place.

Weird.

I'm what? But whatever, I just reread my last post and I think I overreacted to yours, hehe. Sorry about that.

But in the interests of debate, care to explain how you think I'm "out there"?

Well, I guess it's because our minds work so differently.

See, I like to make it obvious what I'm talking about.

However, I have no idea what "He's actually right, Peregrine. Though his example is lacking." was refering too.

I guess it's because I'm from Canada and you're from (checks KzinistZerg's member file).......................apparently nowhere.

So you don't have a country, eh? Perhaps you are starting a new nation of your own? Where is it? Is it a tropical, privately owned island? Does it have hot chicks in bikinis? Or nuclear silos? Are you launching war against the world? Can I join your army?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Aww man, I blew that way outta the water, but it was sooooooooo worth it.

Nah, I'm from philadalphia. Says so under me name. I like canada, though.

Unfortunately the only island I own is up on the rideau canal, and is inhabited by a postage stamp size moss wad, algae, some horseflies, a bird, a tree, a rotting log, and a fern. :P It's also roughly the size of a table.

I was GOING to start a war againt the unvierse, but my arsenal consisted of said algae, a pebble, and a twig, so I didn't get very far. *shakes fist at the twig*

I was referring to a comment to the effect that you can have mutations during your life which can be passed on.

I had a qutote above that for reference, but I trimmed it so that it would not take up the whole page.
