Dogmeat always underfoot and in the way

I still think he's a synth. I know people say he never drops a synth component if he gets killed, but he shows up wayyyy to conveniently for my personal comfort (plus he's the only dog in the Commonwealth that's a german shepherd). He also never shows any interest in the female dog you can buy from whats-his-name.
