superspiff
can someone make a mod so that you can wear any hood with any helmet at the same time?

SickleYield
Possible if you changed all the hoods to the tail slot - but then a)you couldn't use any other tail slot items (and there are some great ones out there) and b)they would clip badly with the helmets since they'd normally occupy the exact same space. threedees
Not possible. I can think of 2 ways that this could be possible. 1. put the meshes of the helmet and hood together in a 3d program and export as a new helmet or (not 100% sure about this one...) 2. set the hoods to something other than the head slot... like how several beard mods set the beard mesh to the teeth slot on the character. I dont think that teeth are selectable for armour but you could try tail, which I think is... (this would mean that tails won't show up on tailed player characters though)
LHammonds
1. put the meshes of the helmet and hood together in a 3d program and export as a new helmetI think the "impossible" quote really meant "not gonna happen" because it's not probable to happen. The method you mentioned is indeed possible and could be done to avoid clipping issues by custom-tailoring each hood to each helmet but here's the not probable part: Let's say you had 5 different hoods and 20 different helmets. You would need to customize each of the 5 hoods for each helmet meaning there would be 5 x 20 combinations = 100 unique items to create. It would take an insane amount of time to make, the mod would be extremely huge and would basically be unwieldy in-game having a list of 100 items rather than 5 hoods and 20 helmets that are interchangeable. A more likely scenario would be to create a separate hood item for each helmet type/model that would fit correctly. Then use OBSE script attached to the hood to pick the correct model to use when trying to wear it in combination with a certain helmet type. This may be possible for vanilla hoods and helmets but not a pretty task for user-based mods. LHammonds
