Bow and Arrow

Technically it's possible to add a weapon that fires projectiles at arc, but the issue is that you can't have it use custom animations, and due to 3ds max apparently being currently only tool that can convert meshes to usable .nif format, you'd need to have someone with max either make the model or at least convert it.

Is someone working on a bow and arrow or crossbow mod ? I wanted to play with those weapons even more with a post apocalyptic look wonderful as fallout.

Closest thing we can get now is a crossbow. Well, a railway gun and a junk jet is basically that. But you will not get the cool arrow drawing from quiver kind of animations. For immersion, the whole point of arrows are easy creation for ammo and reusable ammo. If you are good you can shoot just a tree branch. But I am sure guns can't shoot a tree branch.

For game mechanic you need to be able to recover arrows, It is easier to allow looting arrows from dead NPC (by dynamically adding arrows into their inventory). This needs GECK too btw. All NPCs start with no arrow. You shot this guy 3 arrows, you will recover 3 arrows from his inventory (more maybe 2, 1 broke). And it is harder to make the arrow sticks on the ground (because you missed) and you can grab that arrow and use it again (with a chance of break).

I am skeptical about this mod. Even the author warns about VATS and CTD. It is good that he has a head start, but I think it's safer over all to wait.
