prewar nuka cola machine texture?

I don't think those exist actually. I've been all over the game and not even the institute has any preserved nuka cola machine.

Best you can do if get the textures with BAE, pump them into PS with DDS plug-in (or whichever program you prefer to work with DDS) and have fun creating a restored version of the textures. I'm not fantastic at textures or I would have done it myself already.

I have all the assets extracted, and unless there is a pre-war texture hidden away from the main nuka-cola machine textures / setdressing base folder, there is no pre-war textures im afraid. There are 2 variants though, one is a darker red machine (iirc, there are 2 different vending machine models, I could be wrong there though.

You could use a bit of the pre-war red sports car texture to make a makeshift version, could label it as 'restored' rather than pre-war --not quite perfectly new, but better than the default ones.

Or, could give making a new texture a shot :)

i don't know maybe i'm still learning to make fo4 stuff. i can make new meshes but i don't know how to get them into the game. and i can only edit the diffuse textures paint.net won't open the other 2 files.

There are 2 different models: 1 is with door, the other without. The one with door has a little less wear&tear but nothing hugely significant.

Like I said, you need Photoshop + Nvidia's DDS plug-in to edit the textures (OR whichever program is capable of editing those files). For meshes, you need nifscope (and some 3D program if you want to alter their shape/make new ones) and then you need to tag them to the object you want to change by using FO4Edit.

At any rate, if you want a "pre-war" or "restored" nuka cola machine, you'll have to make/change the textures yourself.
