Problem with loading Creation Kit

Hi there.

I've got a problem with the CK.

 

Every time i want to load any Files CK crushs while loading the Update.bsa.

I've allready changed the things in the SkyrimEditor.ini so that can't be the problem.

 

I have absolutely no idea what is the problem now.

Is it a problem with Windows 10?

 

Please help me!!

Is it a crash to desktop? Do you get any error message?

Maybe trying uninstalling it and re-installing? Sorry, I have little experience with win10

Have you tried verifying the CK's integrity with Steam? Are you running as Admin? Does it occur with one file or multiple files? At what % during loading does it crash or is it different each time?

It crashes only if I try to load any file which need the Update.esm. Everytime I try there is an Error:

LOCALIZATION: Error opening or reading strings file

 

And when I click any option to get through it crashes.

 

@Knayru What do you exactly mean with the CK's integrity? Witch options do you mean?

My English is not the best, i m sorry if i do some mistakes.

 

i had the same Issue and found something that helped me.

 

go to your steam folder where ever you installed it and go to steamapps > common > Skyrim

Look for the SkyrimEditor.ini and open it.

 

now set

 

bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

sLanguage=ENGLISH

if u don t have this lines add them under [General] (note: if u play skyrim in another Language set sLanguage=[your language] in cap lots)

After this Scroll down to [Achive] and set

SArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa

SResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa

SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa

If you don t have the Dawngurad, HearthFires, or Dragonborn DLC delete these elements from the 3 lists, everything else is the same.

save your file.

now it should work.
