Nifskope Edited Hat is Floating

After trying to *slightly* nudge a hat (From scottmack's Casino Heist Pack) upwards to prevent clipping with another armor's hood in Nifskope by using R-Click > Transform > Edit and then Transform > Apply, the hat appears in-game to be about a metre above where it used to be, even if I don't change anything, rather than the slight (Or non-existent, in the case of my testing with no edit) change that was shown in Nifskope. Any idea what may be causing this?

Images of both the NifSkope render window and the in-game effect are attached. Boone's hat is unaffected, so it's just an issue with this mesh as far as I can tell.

I've found nifskope to be a little funky sometimes with hats and hairs. Try applying transforms before you make any changes.

I would just lower it in nifskope (make sure you apply the transform after each change) until you finally get it where you want it. What I usually do is put it on a test character in the GECK then I keep modifying the nif in nifskope and saving it with a new name (hat1, hat2, hat3, etc) until it shows up where I want on the test character, then I save the nif to its original name and don't bother saving the GECK file. That way you can quickly see your changes. Then I'll try it out in game and see if I need to do any fine tuning after that.

I messed around with it a bit, and it seems lke the issue was that before making edits, it had a z coordinate of ~49. Before making any edits, I set the z to 0 for all the hat's parts and applied the changes, which didn't change the hat's position in-game, and then any edits from that point worked as they should. Thanks for the help!
