shep8234
So i have searched countless pages, and for some reason no matter what method i use, Textmod is not reading the TPF files for all or any mods i try to install, if anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated. me3deager
I know this post is old and I've not really delved into these forums before but here I go. :) It appears you get texmod loaded up, your tpf files applied, and then you don't see the texture changes in game. Is that correct? Can you give me at least one example of a mod you're trying?
nefariadarksoul
I'm having the same issue. I have tried GPG hair mods. They load the change but the hair looks like crap. So then I tried the Kaidan beefcake mod by GPG that is based off of the one ele did for maleshep. A custom clothing mod that basically puts kaidan in t-shirt with dogtags hanging down with his fatigue pants. Game comes on and his head is there and his body is black. I can see the outlines of the t-shirt and pants etc but it is all black. If I try to load any of the LI pictures into the picture frame of the captain's cabin, they never show up. It is very frustrating. Other mods are working fine. LIME, MEHEM, Brooks hair mod by ele, MOAM. I have followed all ottes tutorials on making texmod work and nada. me3deager
@nefariadarksoul Are you getting texmod to run and the tpfs included and you get terrible hair textures? Do any of the hair mod makers respond to you? Also, elysiumfic has made a lot of hair mods "mods as DLC" so they are drop-dead easy to use like LIME, MEHEM, etc.

The hair mod dlcs are great but it doesn't fix the issue I have with tpfs. They are just not showing up. I thought maybe it was a conflict with running Mother of All Mods, but I don't think so. I'm going to try to delete everything off of my comp, redownload the game and make new vanilla backups incase something is messed up somewhere I guess. me3deager
I'm going to try to delete everything off of my comp, redownload the game and make new vanilla backups incase something is messed up somewhere I guess. That's a very good idea. I've done the same myself. And I know it can be annoying. I've made mods and I just had a borked install for a while until I figured out what I had done. Fortunately it was custom stuff of my own doing and not something I need to let others know about. :)
UhuruNUru
TexMod is outdated, use ME3Explorer to permanantly install mods in the game.It works for all 3 games. It can look intimidating, as it's mainly a mod creation tool. However, it's also for mod installation, which is much easier and well documented. The ME3Explorer Wiki, is main source, and many mods guides exist It makes using mods with Mass Effect much simpler, and fixes most outdated texture mods, using theAutoFix function of the TPF/DDS tool. Initial setup, can take a few hours, but it's automated, once you confirm the game paths. Texplorer is also used to create the required DLC trees, another simple process.
