Requesting solutions for things I missed during quests

Hi!

Having completed the main story line, I later realized that I missed some things. These are either locked out or may even be bugged. That bothers me as I want to complete everything in the game ^.^ Might be important to add that I've played some 200 hours since story completion so I will not just start over.

- Paladin Danse: I saved him during Blind Betrayal, but after I wiped out BoS he won't talk to me to take him as a companion. I understand that but I still want his perk, as I didn't get his affinity level to the highest beforehand. I wouldn't want to just use a command to get it, but it would be nice to be able to talk to him and have him as a companion and build affinity with him as normal. Maybe set him back as he is now in his little bunker ignoring me. Guess the command would be the best solution :S

- Covenant: Human Error quest. Completed the main story and now it's open, no Honest Dan. We don't know if this is intentional, although since Beth fixed some quests I guess they wouldn't just leave this out if this was a bug.

- Diamond City wanted poster: I bought the house from Geneva before I would ask her about work. Now she won't talk to me, so I can't get the bounty quests started.

- Institute teleporter: I scrapped it because I needed "size"... -.- I want it back

- Also I've yet to meet Gene (the dog trader guy). Dunno if it's just bad luck, wouldn't want to cheat though.

Thanks guys!

I think you will have to use commands but reseting quests or setstage can fail. Just be sure to save before trying anything. Wiki lists most of the commands and what to expect from them. Gene the dog selling guy wanders all over the place so when and where you find him is totally random unless you use the placeatme command

For the wanted poster "startquest ffdiamondcitywantedpostermisc" doesn't seem to do anything, although it gives no command error either. This is what I could find about this: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Diamond_City's_Most_Wanted

I don't want to use the specific quest id (ghouls, raiders, super mutants) each time, I want to start the whole thing so I'll get the notes on the poster, just as if I would have talked to Geneva.

For Danse and Covenant I'll wait. As for the Signal Interceptor (teleporter), maybe someone will include it in a mod.

I am no expert but it looks like your stuck with starting the individual quest stages unless you can figure out how to reset the Dialog with Geneva. It looks like there are some bugs attributed to that NPC.

There were some threads about Danse and I remember someone having a solution but I don't remember what it was. If you just want his perk you can set companion affinity level or just add the perk

I would personally consider a "perfect playthrough" when you know all the inside out of the game. The first playthrough is exploring ... messing around ....

For games like FO4, on your 2nd playthrough, to save time, you can "cheat" several things like giving yourself materials through console command. Why? You can go farm them, or you can spend your precious real life time doing quest toward a story. For me, I have been messing with a lot of mods lately. I went on to do 2-3 side quests, killed a bunch of mods, got 3 levels. Then I had to go back a couple saves due to some problems. Then? I just quickly completed the quest, console command to give myself some xp .... I did the work, you know. It's not my fault (entirely) that I had to "go back in time" to have to redo all these.

Yeah, I don't like to cheat even if something like that happens :)

But I have 360 hours with the game at the moment and I've spent that time almost exclusively on this one character. I haven't screwed around with mods yet, although I have a few installed(darker nights, realistic lights, true storms, dialogue, radio), but the mods without the CK are too buggy. So it's all character progression/settlement building.

These 3 things that I'm concerned about are not that important, but I'll most likely just use console commands if they don't get fixed/solved by mods in a couple of months or until the first DLC.

I liked the story though, and probably will start a new character just to do it again, this time paying more attention to the small things too, because there are things that I don't remember now.
