lillmuppen
I'll just start of and say, it's not an 100% legit release thread, but an upcoming release in 2 days but i hope it's okay to do this otherwise please let me know if that's the case. Okay so i am really thrilled, happy and proud to announce that we are now finished with the Japanese VoiceOver Project. We have tested almost all npc's, questgivers, pawn voices and as for enemies only bandits and goblins talks, and they all work as intended. As for the test voices many will wask, but then will i know what voice my pawn will have ? well the first rimstone you visit with your created character at encampment will sell an art of metamorposis which will give you an edit menu in main menu of the game so just buy that, save the game, make a backup of your save and then pick a voice for you pawn, load the game back up and try it. And if the sound isn't what you want, rince and repeat untill we have that part fixed, if it's possible. But yeah, i hope that this are great news to everyone and we are very pleased to be releasing this in a couple days so stay tuned and keep an watch out on Nexus Mods. Our scripter is now trying to get the test voices (the test battlecries you hear when making your character and pawn) those are a bit more tricky so even if we can't do that for now we will release a patch for that at later date, and as for the release it will be sometime on friday noon GMT+0 time. The mod will be uploaded to Nexus Mods, if not by some reason they can't share it. Have a nice day now. /CrazyLamer This is the early video Vuze so kindly made, so take peek Edited January 27, 2016 by lillmuppen
lillmuppen
Okay some great news update for this. Our scripter has just fixed the "test" voices, so now when you create your character and pawn it has the japanese battlecry/screaming voices. so now i would say we're at 100% finished without any known issues so far and every tiny bit fixed which i though would be an issue to make before friday, atleast with the test voice parts. Im really looking forward to see what you all have to comment about this on friday :) Have a nice evening everybody ! //CrazyLamer Edited January 27, 2016 by lillmuppen

lillmuppen
Okay time for the last update of news until tomorrow. Still no crashes or other issues since the final fix made. The VoiceOver mod is now fully functional with all voices fully remapped and works flawless ingame. Pawns, player battlecry, Edit screen, goblins, hobgoblins and so on. Release will be tomorrow midday at around 4pm EU gmt+0 time. So i hope everyone will look forward to this, and we are very proud to be able to finally release this as much work we have put into this and working until 3-4 am some nights. ^_^ Stay tuned until official release tomorrow @ nexus mods if they will accept the files, either way it will be released and linked in this thread. I hope everyone will have a wonderful evening now and not hopelessly watching the clock waiting and counting down each minute up to release :P //CrazyLamer

Chocorrles
I'm trying to mess with the sounds myself too. I was wondering how did you dealt with the .vo/.srd/.srq file formats? I wanted to use the monster sounds, particularly extract the griffin ones, but all voices seem to be in that format and I can't open it in audacity like the one used in cutscenes. Couldn't find help in google. Edited February 5, 2016 by Chocorrles
lillmuppen
Yeah those files can only be remapped through scripts and/or place them into the right folders. So no need to convert or anything, but you do need to find the right order and somehow find what files are the corresponding to the npc/monster you want.As our scripter did this i don't know myself what files are griffins, goblins and so on, sorry.
