Hello,

I'm a PC gaming noob who made the jump from the consoles. I've always heard that Bethesda game are better on the PC due to mods and I would like to get into some of them.

Anyways I've installed the basic programs like FOMM and the archive invalidator have already began to install some mods. However I see that some body replacer mods come with variants like extra hair types, colors, faces, ect... and I'm a little confused about how I would go about change between them.

Also does anyone know where I could find a list of console commands to spawn armor and weapons?

And finally, is there something like a basic mod tutorial for me to read up on? I tried installing the DEMONIZED TYPE3 female body but it didn't seem to work properly(skin color different in certain areas and cloths that are clipping), however I was able to install the Type V Female Body and Armor perfectly.

It's ~ to bring up the console, some useful commands I know:

Click someone then-

Setav <attribute> <number> this sets the target's attribute to what you've selected, use it to give Dogmeat superstrength, or let Moira Brown run at 80 mph.

Resurrect: Bring ANY corpse back to life, including your own. Just be careful what you revive, lose your head and it wont re-attach when you get up. Though being the headless horseman IS absolutely hilarious.

Modscale <number> Lets you adjust the size of things. ANY thing. Play as a midget! or swell yourself up to the size of Liberty Prime! You can also do all sorts of item related shenanigens, such as making giant guns or shrinking Megaton.

PlaceAtMe F <number> gives you money! infinite money! delivered straight to you! you just gotta pick it up off the ground first... Just dont summon too much or the game will blow up. Also nice if you want ot make a pile of booty in your house.

TCL: Walk through walls and fly! Endless mischief!

TGM: become a radiation proof diety of the wasteland! Deus Cheaticus! Gain invincibility, infiinite ammo, radiation-immunity, AND your guns never jam.

Kill. Well mind yourself with this one, if you find something overwhelming that's eaten an entire mag of minigun, is still coming, and you havent saved in six hours, Kill will save you, but it's an honourless act o0f utter cowardice, that nuetralises the AI sso it cant fight, with no effort expended by you. Shame on you for even contemplating it!

And my favorite, TFC. ToggleFlyCam, used for screenshots, fly a remote contorl camera around the wasteland, invisible, unhurtable, and take pretyty pictures in conjuction with TM(togglemenues)

Unlock: Well, does everything it says on the can, unlocks whatever's been selected, lets you into secret areas even if they need a key.

COC testinghall

Disable. Erase an item from the game's code forever. THIS is a fate more total than death, Fallout will, for that saved game, forget that (anything) ever existed. Disable is mostly used for clearing obstructions and removing unwanted home decor, as it deletes items that are no longer needed. A good way to get rid of something you dont want without making a mess. You can also "disapear" people, but be careful, there is no way to reverse this, it's permanent, delete with caution, though I know you wont. Hugely useful for removing objects that get in the way, ore are causing lag.

An easier way for money, is 'player.additem 0000000F <amount>'

Add as much as you want, it goes straight to your inventory. The game wont explode because the money isnt even in the world, not for a second. :D

That's a good one.

If I recall correctly though, you can just type 'F,' as I'm fairly certain the game ignores zeros in front of ID's. Please correct me if I'm wrong (no sarcasm at all here, I may be completely misguided...never played Fallout).

Well that'd work fine in Oblivion, that's for sure. Just remember though, you can only add nine million caps at a time, so you can repate the command by pressing the UP arrow, using the arrows lets you select from the last commands you use and repeat them or disable them instantly without retyping.
