cplr
Hello, mods newbie here. I own both FO3 and FO:NV for Xbox, and have enjoyed both greatly (gameplay wise I like FO:NV more-so, especially because of hardcore mode). But it's time I get into mods. There are just too many great ones. I am curious what people's opinions are regarding which game has "better" mods. Obviously I realize this an entirely subjective question, and both games have great mods. One of the main reasons I am leaning towards Fallout 3 is that I never got the Point Lookout or Mothership Zeta DLC, and the full GOTY package is only $30 on steam. However Gamestop has FONV for only $20 right now, and those bounty hunter mods sound really fun. And so do those implants... Thanks for the input. Ghost23
Fallout 3 has better mods at the moment, but I don't enjoy it nearly as much as NV.

aaronwind
At the moment Fallout 3 has a larger mod library, and many very good mods that have been worked on a lot. (A few personal recommendations, by far my favorite mods - For guns, check out FOOK2 or Book of Earache - For quests, check out Project Heaven series - For immersion, DCInteriors project.)But if you check the nexus sites for both games, you will see that there is more activity on New Vegas these days, so in a few months I think they will be comparable. One other thing you may want consider, Fallout 3 will not be getting more official DLC so buying the GOTY is a solid move, whereas New Vegas will probably get 3-5 more DLC packs, so it may be a good move to wait for a complete package but that may take up to a year or so.Hope that helps. falloutperson416
I don't think we can honestly say yet. F:NV Nexus hasn't been around as long as F3 Nexus has.
