TheMastersSon
Anyone know of a mod that scripts a portal/door/etc to a random location in Cyrodiil? All I could find was reference to a MW mod but nothing for Oblivion. It's such a basic idea I can't believe nobody has done it.
Saraane
I know there is a mini cyrodill mod as I have it and it is my travel method of choice. There is also a cities nexus, Cyrodillic travel network, a few house mods that have mini maps, Star's rest will take you to random Alyaid ruins... Oh and mark and recall. You can set your own points in that spell and with multimark you get like, 20 eventually. Hope this helps! All of the mods are on the nexus just search for those names! Telyn
If you want to make your own random portal, I would suggest having a look at Ayleid Steps to see how that modder did it. I think it probably can't be truly random because your character would probably get "splinched" in Harry Potter terms, ending up inside rocks or landscape or worse. TheMastersSon
I think the MW mod uses a static list of cells with valid pathing grids. This assures the player doesn't get stuck in places he can't get out of. At least in theory it should be trivial to make this list. Again I can't believe no one has done it yet. Ayleid Steps looks like a good start. Thanks! Edited April 27, 2011 by TheMastersSon
