Enchanted Items-where does the enchantment go

I have this problem now too. It occurs with my latest self enchanted greaves, which keep losing their enchantment, but keep the new name.

I wonder if you are both using HrmnsOblivionScriptOptimization. I don't see anything else in your load order that seems likely to cause this enchantment issue.

 

The script optimization mod shouldn't have anything to do with it..... however, it should be removed anyway, as it could cause some difficulties of its own.

 

It sounds for all the world like the FormID bug, but, if they are indeed at the correct version of the game, that should be fixed....

Yeah, reason I mentioned it is that the general consensus on another forum I go to says it does no real good and can cause problems. I was thinking that depending how he optimized scripts, there could maybe be a bug there. I've seen reports of some pretty strange bugs, like arena betting scripts breaking. Obviously, I can't verify those. No offense to the modder, it was an interesting and clever idea to try, but his spelling...well...see the file description and his comments in the comment thread.
