Bodyslide/clothing meshes not matching in-game

Hey guys, so I've been troubleshooting this issue for a while and I thought I had it figured out until it did it all over again. It's really becoming a headache. So I use a custom bodyslide preset, and therefore I have to edit my clothing/armor meshes because batch building outfits does not work (for some reason). I have no problem with doing this, but then my outfit studio started not matching my in-game outfits all of a sudden. Here it is broken down.

-Custom bodyslide preset (hardbody)

-Edit custom clothes/armor in outfit studio to fit custom body

-save .nif with reference over existing nif (if i don't save with reference my body disappears)

-start game to have my clothes/armor wayyyyy too small for my custom body, it appears as though it is for the curvy preset for cbbe.

Initially when this starting occurring it took me a while to figure it out, but what i did was instead of invalidating older files in the launcher, I unchecked that box and added the string (/strings, /meshes, /textures etc). Everything worked for a little bit, then I installed some new mods (none that had to do with the body/clothes/meshes anything related to bodyslide or outfit studio) and now its doing it all over again. When I equip the clothing items its like my body changes and it's too big for the clothing to fit. Any ideas??

^^^With shorts equipped, the body is massive, and doesn't match the bodyslide preset at all

Without shorts, the body matches the bodyslide preset how it should

Notice the change in arm size

This is the clothing/armor in bodyslide.

It seems to be that with the shorts and the commonwealth shorts outfits that the body changes by iteself, regardless of what I change in bodyslide. I can't seem to figure this out.

Ok, so that worked, for the shorts. Thanks for that. Now the problem I have is that when I make the shorts fit via batch building "shorts" my synth armor clips like crazy. So I go into outfit editor and fix the synth armor, and it goes back to screwing up my body...

EDIT: I finally fixed it. Turns out I was choosing the wrong outfit for my custom shorts the whole time. Not sure why that would make my body so big but it worked. Thanks for the advice twist, I really appreciate it!

I know that if you use your preset body, then hit batch build, it should go through all your clothing/armor mods. You want to, when you do that, make sure you choose either CBBE body, or CBBE never nude. Do not select both. the reason is that if you do both, it will do some really weird meshing. And you don't want that.

And that is usually what I do but it never works for everything. If I batch build, I'll have to go through my outfit studio and customize some meshes to make them fit, like the spartan wrap or the Honest Abe's armor pieces, for some reason they don't just adjust to my body and I have to do it manually.

I've had my problems with the Spartan wrap. It was, really, that I overlooked downloading the body slide files. But I've had no problems with, at least the spartan stuff, it coming out okay. I'm trying some Honest Abe's armor, and I should know better when I see it. But at least we know where things are, and where to go. I will say that CBBE and Bodyslide/outfit studio has been a part of my games since I discovered it for Skyrim. I find that it is not perfect, but it is good enough, and modders make some pretty good slider presets. I just use one preset, that I modded myself, and build everything to that preset.

that would make sense, maybe the issue I was having was because the shorts in the picture are kind of custom. I basically took the commonwealth shorts, and deleted the top and belt from the nif, and saved it over the summershorts.nif. So I guess it tried to use the summershorts sliders

I'm having the opposite issue. All my clothes are generating to fit my custom curvy body, which was already exported and is showing up in-game (e.g. on stripped corpses, or a nudie follower, and my PC), but each outfit usually has a smaller default UUNP body inside it, so the boobs are usually bare, and below them is cloth jutting out to fit the larger body I told it to build the outfit for. Lots of NPCs are wandering around exposed in baggy clothes that hover and defy gravity. LOL. My tedious workaround has been to go through and start deleting the body/skin/flesh node, mesh by mesh, so only the clothing remains, but that would take days, and I think there's probably some obvious answer.

@Darklocq I am also having this issue. Do you find the solution? Going to do some troubleshooting tonight, not sure if it helps, but this issue is only with a couple of outfit mods (shino's bikini and modular vault suit), others seem fit fine. I am using the Jose body CBBE preset

Stupid question, but have you placed your bodyslide presets categories into the Outfit Studio folder of the same name? Sorry its early so I may have misnamed those files. Without those slider presets to reference the program doesn't really know what its doing.
